CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Cedarville and Northern Michigan competed to a scoreless draw on Thursday night at Yellow Jacket Field.
CU created the better opportunities in the opening half, putting all three of their shots on goal while holding the NMU to just one attempt.
Cedarville continued to threaten after the break. Kacy Rosenthal put an attempt on frame in the 60th minute before
Evania McCandless nearly broke the deadlock with a shot on goal in the 82nd.
Anna Taylor went the distance in goal for the Lady Jackets, making two second-half saves to record the shutout. Cedarville's defense limited Northern Michigan to five total shots and just two on goal.
McCandless led the attack with three shots, including two on target. Cedarville finished with a 5-2 edge in shots on goal in a defensive minded and evenly matched game.
The Lady Jackets will next face Michigan Tech at home on Saturday.
