Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Melissa Stoltzfus is in her fourth season with the CU women’s tennis team.....will serve as a co-captain.....one of two seniors on the 2012-13 squad.....saw most her action last year at the #4 singles spot recording a 7-11 record.....went 1-0 at #2 singles and 3-1 in the #3 singles slot.....won her first four singles matches of the 2011 fall season including a 7-6 (7-3), 5-7, 10-7 #4 singles victory versus Ohio Wesleyan.....paired with Joy Dice for a 15-10 #2 doubles record and a 2-0 mark in the #1 doubles position.....posted a 9-7 win at #2 doubles against Emmanuel at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament.....earned NCCAA Scholar-Athlete recognition.

2010-11 - Missed the fall portion of the schedule while studying in Uganda.....posted a 6-7 record in the #4 singles position.....teamed with Joy Dice at #2 doubles for a 10-5 mark.....helped the Lady Jackets begin their annual spring break trip on a winning note with an 8-3 win at the #2 doubles spot in a convincing 8-1 verdict over Judson.....posted two points in CU’s 7-2 American Mideast Conference victory against visiting Malone.....has a 19-15 singles record in two years at Cedarville.

2009-10 - Produced a 13-8 record playing in the #5 singles position.....teamed up with senior Rachel Arthur for a 14-9 mark at #3 doubles.....registered first collegiate #5 singles win with a 6-2, 6-3 verdict against NCAA II Tiffin.....helped CU to a 5-4 win over NCAA II Findlay with victories in both singles and doubles......keyed an American Mideast Conference win versus visiting Northwestern Ohio with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 singles victory.

High School - Graduated from Veritas School.....played her prep tennis for Newberg High School.....has extensive USTA Juniors tournament experience.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a psychology major at Cedarville University.....born 2/8/91 in Newberg, OR.....daughter of Paul and Janette Stoltzfus.....has two younger brothers and a younger sister.
