Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Jamie Atkins is in her third season as a middle distance runner with the Lady Jacket women’s track & field squad.....participated in three indoor meets last winter.....best individual finish was a fifth-place effort in the 800 meters at the Indiana Wesleyan Classic with a time of 2:54.....joined up with Grace Campbell, Carolyn Case and Lauren Callahan to win the 4 x 800 meter relay event at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational.....ran in three outdoor meets during the 2012 campaign.....placed eighth in the 800 meters at the Ohio Independent Championship with a 2:37.10 performance.....participated in the 800 meters at the Yellow Jacket Outdoor Open (2:43.37).....recorded a 6:02.16 effort in the 1500 meters at the Emory University Invitational.

2011 - Competed in four indoor competitions.....won the long jump event with a 17-00.25 performance at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational.....ran the 800 meters in all four meets.....produced a season-best time of 2:44.20 at the CU Invite.....participated in two outdoor meets running the 800 meters at both the University of Cincinnati Early Bird and the Miami Invitational.

High School - Graduated from Emmaus High School.....did not participate in track & field during her prep career.

Personal - Nursing major at Cedarville University.....born 12/1/90 in Allentown, PA.....daughter of Phil and Karen Atkins.....has two older sisters.
