Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Katie Lanphier is a four-year track & field athlete as a sprinter and hurdler.....participated in four cross country meets this past fall.....best time of the season was a 21:00 effort at the Friendship Invitational.....placed 27th of 59 runners at the Ohio Independent Championship (21:48).....earned NCCAA Scholar-Athlete honors.

2010-11 - Participated in five indoor meets......placed third in the 800 meters at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational with a 2:25.31 outing.....finished sixth in the 600 meters at the Findlay Division II Challenge with a season-best 1:41.17 performance.....recorded an outdoor season-best finish by winning the 400 meter hurdles at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor  Invitational.....top effort of the season in the 400 meter hurdles was a 1:05.02 at the Miami RedHawk Invitational.....earned NCCAA Outdoor All-America recognition in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 meter relay events.....garnered American Mideast Conference Second Team honors in the 400 meter hurdles.....NAIA, NCCAA Indoor, NCCAA Outdoor and AMC Scholar-Athlete.....completed her first season of varsity cross country.....competed in four meets in the 2010 campaign.....posted a 20:35 time at the National Christian College Athletic Association Championship as CU’s second-fastest runner.....ran a 20:41 over the 5K course at the American Mideast Conference Championship.

2010 - NCCAA Indoor All-American in the 4 x 400 meter relay.....NAIA qualifier in the indoor distance medley relay.....finished seventh in their semifinal heat at the NAIA national meet with a time of 12:47.24 in the distance medley.....American Mideast Conference champion in the 400 meter hurdles with a 1:06.11 effort to earn All-AMC First Team recognition.....posted a season-best 1:05.29 in the 400 meter hurdles at the NCCAA Championship.

2009 - Best effort of the indoor track & field campaign was a third-place finish in the 400 meters in the finals of the Findlay Open....placed 5th in the 600 meters at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational.....recorded a career-best effort of 1:07.30 in the 400 meter hurdles for a second-place finish at the Tiffin Outdoor Invitational.....placed 3rd in the 400 meter hurdles at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open.....earned AMC First Team recognition as a member of the AMC Championship 4 x 400 meter relay squad (3:58.54).....part of the 4 x 400 meter quartet that advanced to the NAIA Outdoor Championship.

High School - Recorded a two-sport career at Cincinnati Christian High School.....two-year letter winner in track & field.....earned all-conference first team honors in 2008 as part of the 4 x 800 meter relay squad and the 300 meter hurdles.....three-year letter winner in volleyball.....two-time MVC conference and district champions.....three-time selection as all-conference honorable mention.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a nursing major at Cedarville University.....born 10/30/89 in Cincinnati, OH.....daughter of Bill and Christy Lanphier.....older sister, Renee, is a 2010 CU graduate.....younger brother, Josh, is a sophomore catcher on the baseball team at Huntington University.
