Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Anna Schmid is back for a another year with the CU women’s track & field squad.....will again see action in the sprints and hurdles events.

2011-12 - Totaled 37 individual points during the 2012 indoor/outdoor campaigns.....member of the distance medley relay squad the won the event at the National Christian College Athletic Association Indoor Championship in a time of 12:40.55 - eighth-fastest all-time at CU.....4 x 200 meter relay team was second at the NCCAA Indoor Championship with a 1:50.24 performance.....earned NCCAA All-America honors in both relay events.....the best effort of the indoor season in the 400 meters (1:01.89) was a seventh-place finish at the Cedarville Collegiate Invitational.....produced a fifth-place position in the 500 meters at the Youngstown State Invitational with a time of 1:21.69.....placed third in the 400 meter hurdles at the NCCAA Outdoor Championship with a 1:06.35 effort to earn All-America recognition.....appeared in 10 of the 18 matches in 2011 as a forward for the 7-9-2 Lady Jacket soccer squad.....took five shots with four being on goal.

2010-11 - Competed in sprints and hurdles for the CU women’s track squad.....best finishes of the indoor campaign were eighth-place spots in the 55 meter hurdles at the season-opening Otterbein Invitational.....earned 17 individual outdoor points.....named to the American Mideast Conference First Team in the 400 meter hurdles event with a first-place effort of 1:07.43.....season-best 1:07.32 performance in the 400 meter hurdles produced a sixth-place spot in the NCCAA National Championship.....appeared in 17 of 19 soccer matches with two starts at forward.....recorded a goal and two assists for four points.....first collegiate goal came in a 2-1 American Mideast Conference setback to visiting Notre Dame OH.....five of seven shots taken were on goal for a third-best .714 sog %

2009 - Appeared in five contests with the Cedarville University women’s soccer team......attempted one shot on goal in limited playing time.

High School - Participated in three sports at Trout Lake High School.....four-year soccer performer.....squad captured district championship during senior campaign.....earned all-league first team recognition.....scored 13 goals as a senior.....four-year track & field participant..... member of three-time state championship squad.....state champion in four events during senior year - 100 meters, 200 meters, 300 meter hurdles and 4 x 400 meter relay.....led team in points scored in both junior and senior seasons.....named Seattle Times Track Athlete of the Week.....two-time state runner-up in the 300 meter hurdles.....also a two-year basketball participant.

Personal - Early childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 11/2/91 in Hood River, WA.....daughter of Robert and Lesli Schmid.....has two older brothers who have graduated from Cedarville.....Peter was a member of the Yellow Jacket track & field squad.
