Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Josiah Bragg is in his fourth year as a distance runner with the Yellow Jackets.....ran in the #2 spot on the cross country squad.....Great Midwest Athletic Conference runner-up earning a spot on the G-MAC First Team.....USTFCCCA Division II Midwest Region Team.....helped Yellow Jackets place 3rd in All-Ohio Championship and tied for 4th in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2011-12 - NCCAA Outdoor Champion on the track in the 10,000 meters in 32:03.54.....won the 10K at Emory and the 5K at the Ohio Independent Championship.....NCCAA Indoor runner-up in the 5K in 15:15.16.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete in cross country and track & field.....ran in six varsity cross country meets and was among CU’s top six finishers each time.....placed 6th at Miami in a season-best 8K time of 26:06.....finished 16th in the NCCAA Championship in 26:40.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2010-11 - Competed in the 3K and 5K during the indoor season.....placed 5th in the NCCAA Indoor 5K in 15:36.14.....turned in a season-best 15:27.66 in the Cedarville Invitational.....ran the 5K and 10K in the outdoor campaign.....qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championship in the 10K.....posted a career-best time of 31:35.76 in the Hillsdale Relays.....NCCAA Indoor Scholar-Athlete.....participated in seven varsity cross country meets and was among the team’s top seven each time out.....placed 36th of 313 runners at the NAIA Great Lakes Invitational in a career-best time of 25:51.....CU’s third finisher in the All-Ohio placing 61st of 263 in 25:59.....All-AMC honorable mention ending up 17th in 26:12.

2009-10 - Finished 5th in the NCCAA indoor 5K in a season-best time of 15:32.0.....top mark outdoors was 15:30.38 which placed 6th in the AMC.....4th in the AMC 10K in 32:23.52.....ran in all eight varsity cross country meets as a rookie.....turned in a season-best 26:19 at the Friendship Invitational to place 19th of 178.....finished 24th in the NCCAA in 27:15.

High School - Graduated from Cincinnati Christian High School.....previously attended Toledo Christian.....four-year letter winner in cross country and track.....finished 22nd in the Ohio Division III cross country meet as a senior in 16:24 in the 5K for all-state honors.....four-time all-conference runner and competed in the state meet all four years of his career.....member of three conference championship teams.....part of Toledo Christian squad as a freshman that placed 3rd in the state.....two-time all-state performer on the track in the 3,200 meters.....placed 8th in the event in both 2008 and 2009.....won the 3,200 regional title as a senior.....named Cincinnati Christian’s track MVP his final season.....earned three letters in wrestling.....earned all-conference honors on the mat and was a district qualifier.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a political science major at Cedarville University.....born 3/17/90 in Dayton, OH.....son of Dan and Annette Bragg.....younger brother, Isaiah, is a junior distance runner at the Air Force Academy.....has two other younger brothers.
