Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Brooke Johnson is in her final year with the Lady Jacket tennis program.....will serve as a co-captain.....one of two seniors on the 2012-13 squad.....completed a 3-6 record at #1 singles and a 7-8 mark in the #2 singles spot.....won five straight matches at #2 singles to open the 2011 fall season.....paired with freshman Lily Schuler at #1 doubles and posted a final tally of 11-15.....helped CU to a 5-1 win over Emmanuel with an 8-4 doubles verdict at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament.....earned NCCAA All-America Second Team honors.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2010-11- Posted a 12-9 mark at #2 singles.....again paired up with Joy Kellogg at #1 doubles and finished with a 10-9 mark.....pulled out a three-set decision at #2 singles to give the Lady Jackets a 5-4 win over Covenant during the annual spring break trip to Florida.....came from behind to post a 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 victory in CU’s season-opening match of the fall campaign versus visiting Taylor.....posted one of CU’s points at #1 doubles in a 7-2 setback at Marian IN.....member of the American Mideast Conference Team in both singles and doubles.

2009-10 - Finished with a 10-10 mark at #2 singles.....combined with Joy Kellogg for a 11-10 record playing in the #1 singles position.....first collegiate win came in a non-conference match last fall against NCAA II Tiffin - a 7-6, 6-4 victory at #2 singles.....posted the lone Lady Jacket point at #1 doubles in an AMC regular season setback at Walsh.....earned NCCAA All-America First Team recognition in doubles.....NCCAA All-America Second Team selection in singles.....named to the American Mideast Conference Team in doubles.

High School - Graduated from Morningstar Academy but played four years of tennis with Bettendorf High School.....member of four consecutive Mississippi Athletic Conference (MAC) championship teams.....team finished as runner-up in 2009 Iowa state tournament.....squad placed fourth in 2008 state tournament.....three-time individual state qualifier.....placed fourth in 2009 and eighth in 2007 in the state doubles tournament.....team captain as a senior.....has also competed in USTA Junior Tennis.

Personal - Dean’s list student as a biology major at Cedarville University.....born 8/28/90 in Moline, IL.....daughter of Todd and Sharon Johnson.....father played tennis at Bethel College and Augustana College.....younger brother Kyle is a sophomore member of the tennis squad at Indiana Wesleyan University.
