Biography
Meghan Terrell returns for her fourth season of track & field with the Lady Jackets.....ran in five of the seven cross country meets this past fall season.....a season-best 19:12 came in the National Christian College Athletic Association Championship to finish in the #2 spot for CU and in 26th overall of 255 participants.....toured the 5,000 meters of the home course in 19:49 to place fourth overall as Cedarville won the first-ever Great Midwest Athletic Conference banner.....earned G-MAC First Team recognition.....finished fifth overall at the season-opening University of Dayton Challenge with a time of 20:04.....CU’s #2 finisher at the NCAA Division II Regional with a 22:44 effort over the 6,000 meter course.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.
2011-12 - Placed seventh in the mile run (5:20.43) at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational.....garnered third-place in the 3,000 meters (11:04.83) at the indoor Indiana Wesleyan Classic.....joined with Tabitha DeHart, Anna Schmid and Katie Lanphier to win the distance medley relay with a time of 12:40.55 at the National Christian College Athletic Assocation Indoor Championship - the eighth-fastest effort all-time at Cedarville.....earned NCCAA All-America honors.....a 12:39.35 effort in the 3,000 meter steeplechase earned a seventh-place spot at the outdoor Emory University Invitational.....NCCAA Indoor and Outdoor Scholar-Athlete..... competed in the final three cross country meets of the season.....capped the year with a 18:55 time at the NCCAA National Championship for a ninth-place finish and All-America recognition.....CU’s third-fastest runner at the Ohio Independent Championship with a 19:49 effort to to finish fifth of 59 participants.....earned NCCAA Scholar-Athlete honors.
2010-11 - Placed sixth in the 3000 meters at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational....finished seventh in the mile run at the indoor season-opening Otterbein Invitational.....garnered NCCAA Outdoor All-America honors in the steeplechase with a runner-up 11:29.80 effort.....posted a runner-up time of 11:48.96 at the American Mideast Conference Championship to earn All-AMC 2nd Team recognition.....completed the season with a 14th-place finish in the steeplechase at the NAIA National Championship (11:49.40).....named NCCAA Indoor Scholar-Athlete.....ran in seven of the eight cross country meets for the NAIA nationally-ranked CU women.....posted a season-best time of 18:54 at the American Mideast Conference Championship to finish 19th out of 120 participants and pick up honorable mention accolades.....earned a 16th-place finish at the Walsh-Malone Invitational with a 19:15 effort.
2009-10 - Competed in the distance and steeplechase events on the track.....NAIA qualifier in the indoor distance medley relay as well as outdoors in the steeplechase..... 400 meter distance medley quartet finished seventh in their heat semifinals with a time of 12:47.24 at the NAIA Indoor Nationals.....captured the mile run title at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational with a 5:31.63 effort.....produced 25 individual points during the outdoor season.....NCCAA Outdoor All-American in the 3,000 meter steeplechase placing 3rd in 11:40.20.....placed third in the steeplechase at the American Mideast Conference Championship with an 11:55.03 performance.....made her collegiate cross country debut at Shawnee State with a time of 22:25 for the 5K.....missed the rest of the season with an injury and earned her freshman season of eligibility back after being granted a medical hardship by the NAIA.
High School - Four-year distance runner at Homestead High School.....competed in three seasons of cross country for the Spartans.....member of back-to-back sectional championship teams as a junior and senior.....twice named to the All-Northeast Hoosier Conference Second Team.....graduated with school record in the cross country 5K at 19:24.....four-year letter winner in track & field.....member of two conference title teams and one sectional championship squad.....All-NHC First Team performer in the 4 x 800 meter relay.
Personal - Dean’s List student as a nursing major at Cedarville University.....born 6/4/90 in Fort Wayne, IN.....daughter of Mark and Colleen Terrell.....both parents were athletes at Taylor University where older brother, Trevor, played football.....also has two younger brothers.
