Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Greg Hannay is a fourth-year thrower at CU.....best discus mark of the season was 132-feet 2-inches to place fifth in the Ohio Independent Championship.....top hammer throw was 142-1 at Miami.

2011 - American Mideast Conference runner-up in the discus with a career-best toss of 142-5.....finished 3rd in the AMC shot put with a best-ever mark of 44-4.75.....established a PR in the hammer at 152-4 which placed 6th in the NCCAA.....posted career-bests indoors in the shot put (44-4.75) and weight throw (44-8).

2010 - NCCAA Outdoor All-American in the javelin placing 3rd with a heave of 178-3.....best throw of the season was 181-3 at the Emory Invitational.....finished 3rd in the AMC (169-5).....posted other top outdoor marks in the hammer (109-11) and discus (133-10).....placed 8th in the NCCAA indoor weight throw with a season-best effort of 42-3.25.....top mark in the indoor shot put was 40-10.50.

High School - Four-year letter winner in track & field at Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School.....set school records in the shot put (51-2), discus (156-1), and javelin (171-5).....four-year participant in wrestling with two letters.....second-team all-conference performer on the mat.....played four years of soccer with two letters and was a Section 2 All-Star as a senior.

Personal - Exercise science major at Cedarville University.....born 6/8/91 in Albany, NY.....son of Scott and Beverly Hannay.....father is a former thrower at Cedarville and still holds the school record in the javelin.....older sister, Sarah, was a thrower for the Lady Jackets from 2008-11.
