Ruth Towne is in her final season as a thrower with the Lady Jacket track & field team.....placed sixth in the shot put with a season-best 36-6.75 performance at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Indoor Championship at Gambier, Ohio.....finished 13th with a season-best 40-1.25 effort in the weight throw at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Indoor Championship at CU’s Doden Field House.....contributed 56 individual points during the outdoor season.....runner-up in both the hammer throw with a season-best heave of 129-9 and a 111-11 javelin toss at the G-MAC Outdoor Championship.....produced a 114-4 outing in the discus for third place and a 35-10.5 shot put effort for a fifth-place spot at the G-MAC Outdoor Championship held at the Yellow Jacket Track & Field Complex.....G-MAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year.....G-MAC Outdoor Second Team.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2014 - Produced a season-best 34-6.75 effort in the shot put at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Indoor Championships.....finished in eighth-place in the weight throw at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational with a 35-3.25 performance.....ranked first on the squad with 37 individual outdoor points.....captured the javelin title at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championships with a season-best heave of 110-6.....placed second in the hammer throw (119-0) and third in the discus (105-11) at the G-MAC Championships.....finished third in the javelin with a 94-4 effort at the Miami University Invitational.....G-MAC First Team selection.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2013 - Registered 40 individual points during the outdoor season.....best shot put effort was a 32-3.5 heave at the All-Ohio Championship held in Athens, Ohio.....also recorded a season-best hammer throw outing of 104-9 at the All-Ohio Championship.....discus toss of 112-7 at the Miami Invitational was a season-best.....placed sixth in the javelin at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Championship with a 107-10 performance.

High School - Produced a three-sport career at Seacoast Christian High School.....four-year letter winner in track and field.....also earned four letters in both cross country and basketball.....awarded the Elizabeth Huggard Scholarship recognizing academic, athletic and spiritual excellence.

Personal - Dean’s Honor List student as a professional writing and information design major at Cedarville University.....born 5/6/94 in Dover, NH.....daughter of Timothy and Rebecca Towne.....oldest brother is a Cedarville graduate.....also has two younger brothers.
