CAREER STATS

Rachel Groh is back for her fourth season with the Cedarville distance running program.....ran in six of the eight cross country meets this past fall.....tallied a season-best 5K effort was 19:54 at the Friendship Invitational on CU’s Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.....placed 25th of 172 runners at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational with a 6K performance of 23:48.

2015-16 - Ran the distance events on the track both indoors and outdoors.....produced a season-best 11:12.33 in the 3,000 meters at the Grand Valley State Indoor Big Meet.....placed ninth in the 5,000 meters at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Outdoor Championship with a 19:29.61 outing.....National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.....the only runner to appear in all seven cross country meets.....best 5K effort of the campaign came in the final meet of the year - the NCCAA Championship - a 19:00 performance as CU captured the title in Houghton, New York.....registered a season-best 6K outing of 23:04 at the NCAA II Midwest Regional in Allendale, Michigan.....CU’s third finisher (24:18) at the 6K G-MAC Championship in Elkins, West Virginia.....G-MAC First Team.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2014-15 - Distance runner on the track.....G-MAC Third Team both indoors (3,000) and outdoors (5,000).....G-MAC Academic Team.....ran in six meets as a sophomore and finished among the team’s top five each time.....repeat performer on the G-MAC First Team by placing 7th in a career-best 6K mark of 23:09.....finished 85th of 211 in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional in 23:11.....placed 7th in the Friendship Invitational in 19:20 for the 5K.

2013-14 - Distance runner on the track.....G-MAC honorable mention in the 5,000 meters.....overcame early season injury problems as a freshman to run in the final four meets on the schedule.....CU’s #2 finishers three times and the #3 finisher once.....All-G-MAC First Team performer after placing 9th in 24:08 for the 6K.....turned in a season-low 23:47 in the Division II Midwest Regional.....finished 33rd of 227 in the NCCAA Championship in 19:20 for the 5K.

High School - Participated in four seasons of track & field with three letters at Dublin Scioto High School.....competed in the district meet as a junior and senior....four-year letter winner in cross country.....two time state qualifier.....district and regional qualifier her final three seasons.....all-conference first team runner.....posted a career-best 5K time of 19:03.....graduated with academic honors.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a nursing major at Cedarville University.....born 3/19/95 in Columbus, OH.....daughter of Paul and Delores Groh.....younger sister, Rebecca, is a sophomore distance runner at Indiana Wesleyan.....has another younger sister.
