Biography

Bethany Davies enters her final collegiate track season with the Lady Jackets after running three seasons with CU’s nationally-ranked cross country squad.....produced a career-best 19:10 performance at the 2008 NAIA National Championship to finish 116th overall.....placed 9th at both the Shawnee State Invitational (19:54) and the CU Open (19:49).

2007-08 - Registered a fifth-best 60 points in the 2008 outdoor track season..... recognized as NAIA All-America for the indoor 600 meters and 4 x 400 meter relay..... NCCAA indoor champion in both the 400 meters and the 4 x 400 meter relay event.....set a school indoor record in the 300 meters with a time of 41.74.....part of a record-breaking 4x400 meter relay squad that set a new CU indoor standard with a 3:49.75 performance.....earned NAIA Outdoor All-America honors in the 800 meters and the 4 x 400 meter relay..... NCCAA Outdoor Champion in the 800 meters, 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relay events .....posted new school outoor marks in the 400 meters (56.95) and the 4x100 relay squad (48.52).....garnered the American Mideast Conference 400 meter title as well as part of AMC-winning 4 x 800 meter relay quartet.....ran in just one cross country event.....posted a 20:11 performance in the season-opening Shawnee State Invitational.2006-07 - Registered 88 individual points for the 2007 indoor/outdoor season.....set a school record in the 400 meters (58:40) in the prelims at the NAIA Indoor Championship.....captured the 400 meter titles at both the Cedarville Indoor Invitational (1:00.88) and the NCCAA Indoor Championship (59:19).....placed 6th in the 400 meters at the NAIA Outdoor Championship with a time of 1:03.40 to earn All-America recognition.....also earned NAIA All-America honors for the 4 x 400 meter relay squad that placed 5th with a 3:39.52 performance.....the same 4 x 400 quartet set a new school record during the NAIA semifinals with a 3:49.14 outing.....was part of both the 4 x 100 and 4 x 800 relay squads that finished won the American Mideast Conference Championship to earn All-AMC honors.....posted a season-best 1:02.63 effort in the 400 meter hurdles at the NCCAA Outdoor Championships for a 2nd-place finish and NCCAA All-America accolades.....member of the NAIA nationally-ranked cross country squad.....appeared in three cross country meets.....posted a season-best effort of 21:17 in the season-opening meet at Tiffin to finish 45th of 112 runners.

 

2005-06 - NCCAA Indoor All-American in both the distance medley and 4 x 200 meter relay.....helped lead CU to NCCAA indoor national title.....member of 4 x 400 meter relay foursome that qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championship.....turned in season-best times of 1:00.74 in the 400 meters and 2:25.08 in the 800.

High School - Produced an outstanding four-year high school running career.....competed her first two years at Cedarville High School with her final two at Springfield Shawnee.....three-time All-Ohio track performer.....member of 2003 Ohio Division III state runner-up 4 x 400 meter relay team at Cedarville along with current teammate Elisabeth Pyles.....part of 4 x 200 meter relay unit that finished 3rd the same year.....placed 4th in the Ohio Division II 800 meters as a junior at Shawnee after winning the district 800 title and finishing as the regional runner-up.....district and regional 800 meters runner-up as a senior and placed 9th at the state meet.....Academic All-Ohio in track & field.....played two seasons of tennis at Shawnee and twice received the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association Silver Racquet Award for academic achievement.....ran cross country as a senior and earned Central Buckeye Conference special mention.....played volleyball as a freshman and sophomore at Cedarville.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Carries a nursing major at Cedarville University....born 4/7/87 in Xenia, OH....daughter of Don Davies and Brenda Davies.....older sister, Brittany, was a four-year track performer at Malone University.....younger brother, Jordan, is a sophomore distance runner at CU.....has another younger brother.
