Biography
Amber Laing returns for her third season with the CU women’s soccer team this fall as the squad’s top goalkeeper.....missed the opening match of 2007 and then started the final 16 matches of the season.....posted four shutouts.....allowed 26 goals with a 1.56 goals against average.....made 103 saves......recorded a season-high 13 saves in a 2-1 loss at Tiffin.....earned American Mideast Conference honorable mention.
2006 - Started all 16 matches she appeared in.....made 78 saves with two shutouts.....allowed 1.33 goals per game.....first career shutout came in the opening match of the season - a 2-0 win at Asbury.....also posted a 2-0 shutout over AMC South Division foe Walsh.....named All-AMC South Division honorable mention.
2005 - Missed entire season due to an inury.
High School - Produced a two-sport career at Plumstead Christian School....four-year letter winner in soccer....named All-League First Team during final season of high school .....earned Second Team honors for junior year.....also a four-year letter winner in basketball.....two-time all-league second team honoree.....voted Outstanding Female Christian Athlete of the Year in 2005.
Personal - Dean’s List student as a multi-age physical education major at Cedarville University.....born 5/18/87 in Abington, PA....daughter of Rev. Roger and Michelle Laing.....has two younger sisters and a younger brother.
