Alaina Spears is a four-year distance runner with the Lady Jackets.....participated in four cross country meets this past fall and was Cedarville’s top runner in each race.....capped her senior campaign by winning the 2017 NCCAA individual title and leading CU to their 11th overall national banner while posting a career-best 5K effort of 17:29 in Jackson, Mississippi.....placed fifth overall at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championships touring the 6K layout in Nashville, Tennessee in 21:41.....NCCAA All-American.....G-MAC First Team.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2016-17 - Runner-up in the 5000 meters (17:41.04) at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Indoor Championships.....posted a runner-up finish in the 3000 meters at the Ohio Northern Invitational with a time of 10:25.94.....placed seventh in the 3000 meters (10:31.48) at the G-MAC Indoor Championships.....won the 10K at the G-MAC Outdoor Championships (38:08.56) and the Yellow Jacket Outdoor Open (39:52.02).....G-MAC Indoor Second Team.....G-MAC Outdoor First Team.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.....participated in five of the eight cross country meets.....produced a season-best time of 21:48 over the 6K course at the NCAA II Midwest Regional in Evansville, Indiana.....CU’s fifth-fastest runner at the NCAA II Championship in Saint Leo, Florida with a time of 22:26.....finished seventh overall (18:45) of 122 participants at CU’s Friendship Invitational (5K) and the Elvin R. 2015-16 - Competed in the indoor 3K and outdoor 5K during the track & field seasons.....Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Academic Team.....participated in six of the seven cross country meets.....top finish of the campaign was 19th with a 19:04 season-best 5K effort at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Championship in Houghton, New York.....best 6K performance was 23:05 at the NCAA II Midwest Regional in Allendale, Michigan finishing 86th of 224 runners.

2014-15 - Distance runner during the track & field season.....named to the G-MAC Outdoor All-Freshmen Team.....saw action in five varsity cross country meets as a freshman.....best 5K time was 19:53 to place 10th overall in the Cedarville Open.....finished 16th in the G-MAC Championship in a personal-best 6K mark of 23:47.

High School - Two-year letter winner in cross country at Tri-Valley High School.....earned All-Muskingum Valley League honors as a junior and senior.....All-Central District performer as a senior.....2013 regional and state qualifier.....two-time team most valuable runner.....picked up four letters in softball.....member of two MVL title teams and one sectional championship squad.....lettered twice in gymnastics.....Academic All-Ohio.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a pharmacy major at Cedarville University.....born 3/19/96 in Zanesville, OH.....daughter of Christopher and Marna Spears.....older brother, Brandon, played three season on the Yellow Jacket golf team.....also has a younger sister, Breanna.
