CAREER STATS 

Daniel Michalski is the Yellow Jackets’ top returning distance runner.....produced an outstanding senior cross country season.....CU’s #1 finisher in all six meets in which he participated.....G-MAC champion in 25:08.....posted a career-best 8K of 24:58 at the Lewis Cross-Over to place 5th of 361 competitors.....finished 9th in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional with a career-best 31:40 in the 10K.....qualified for the NCAA Championship and placed 92nd in 32:42.....Friendship Invitational runner-up in 25:44 and placed 7th of 323 in the All-Ohio in 25:03.

2016-17 - NCAA Division II Outdoor National Champion in the steeplechase in a school-record time of 8:44.49.....Cedarville’s first NCAA men’s national champion.....won the steeple at the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational in 8:52.01.....clocked in 8:52.90 at the Music City Distance Carnival in Nashville.....owns the top three marks in school history.....turned in the second-fastest 1,500 effort in CU history at Azusa of 3:46.71.....runner-up at Ohio State’s Jesse Owens Classic in 3:46.87.....USTFCCCA Division II Outdoor All-American.....USTFCCCA Division II Outdoor All-Region Team (1,500; steeplechase).....G-MAC outdoor champion in the 800 in a meet record time of 1:53.12 and won the 1,500 in 3:52.04.....G-MAC Outdoor First Team.....NCAA Division II Indoor All-American in the mile run placing 7th in 4:09.45.....turned in a 4:07.69 performance in the prelims.....set the school mile record of 4:05.60 at Grand Valley State and owns the top four indoor times in CU history.....Indoor All-American in the distance medley relay anchoring the team to an 8th-place finish in a school-record 9:53.72.....USTFCCCA Division II Indoor All-American in the mile and DMR.....USTFCCCA Division II Indoor All-Region Team (mile).....G-MAC indoor champion in the 800 (1:54.64) and mile (4:15.96) setting meet records in both events.....G-MAC Indoor First Team.....competed in the first three cross country meets of 2016 before sitting out the rest of the season with an injury.....Friendship Invitational champion in 25:16 for the 8K.....Dayton 5K Challenge runner-up in 15:20.....placed 55th of 287 in the All-Ohio Championship in 26:28 in what was his final appearance.

2015-16 - Cedarville’s first-ever NCAA Division II men’s track & field All-American.....placed 8th in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the NCAA Outdoor Championship in 9:03.95.....ran a season-best 8:59.43 at Ohio State.....USTFCCCA Division II Outdoor All-Region Team in the 1,500 and steeplechase.....NCCAA Outdoor 4 x 800 meter relay champion.....joined Tim De Jong, Ethan Gatchell, and Wyatt Hartman to post a school-record time of 7:35.94.....G-MAC Outdoor First Team as 1,500 meter champion in 3:51.84.....800 meter runner-up in 1:54.29.....registered PR’s of 3:47.80 in the 1,500 at Toledo and 1:54.29 at the Yellow Jacket Open.....NCCAA Indoor champion in the mile in 4:12.66 and All-American in the 800 placing 3rd in a season-best 1:56.23.....G-MAC Indoor First Team by winning the 3K in a personal-best 8:28.24.....ran the mile in 4:09.91 at Grand Valley State.....member of distance medley team that set the then school record also at Grand Valley State.....joined Sam Harper, Wyatt Hartman, and Forrest Thayer to turn in a time of 10:02.91.....ran in all seven cross country meets in 2015 and was among the team’s top three finishers each time out.....NCCAA All-American as squad’s #1 runner in 9th place in 25:34 to lead CU to the national title.....G-MAC First Team after finishing 4th overall in 26:50 for conference championship team.....led Cedarville at the Lewis Cross-Over placing 13th overall in a season-best 25:12.....finished 55th of 215 in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional with a season-best 10K of 32:39.

2014-15 - NCCAA Indoor All-American on the track following runner-up finishes in the mile with a season-best 4:23.28 and in the distance medley relay (10:21.34).....G-MAC Indoor 3K champion in 8:51.51 and was the 800 runner-up in a season-best 1:59.15.....named to the G-MAC Indoor First Team and the G-MAC Indoor Freshmen Team.....NCCAA Outdoor Champion in the steeplechase in 9:03.06.....named to the USTFCCCA Division II Outdoor Region Team in the event.....G-MAC Outdoor First Team following a victory in the steeple (9:26.37).....other season-bests were in the 800 (1:57.47) and 1,500 (3:51.86).....G-MAC Outdoor Freshmen Team.....one of three runners to compete in all seven cross country meets in 2014.....G-MAC First Team honoree after placing 6th in 26:18.....finished 14th at Carnegie Mellon in a season-low 8K time of 26:09.....placed 15th in the Friendship Invitational in 26:52.....team’s #2 finisher in the Division II Midwest Regional in 32:43 for the 10K.

High School - Outstanding prep career at Xenia High School after picking up distance running his junior year.....two-year letter winner.....two-time Greater Western Ohio Conference South Runner of the Year.....led team to a pair of conference championships.....twice named the team’s MVP.....holds the school’s 5K cross country record at 16:20.....earned a letter in his only season of track & field.....Team MVP.....set XHS records in the 1600, 3200, 4 x 400, and distance medley.....GWOC South champion in the 1600 and 3200.....played three seasons of baseball with two letters.....achieved one letter in three years of basketball.....graduated with academic honors.

Personal - Exercise science major at Cedarville University.....born 9/10/95 in Chattanooga, TN.....son of Morris and Kelly Michalski.....both parents played college athletics.....has four siblings who have participated in athletics at Grace College.....older sister, Bethany, was a four-year volleyball player; older sister, Meredith, played one season; and younger sister, Deborah, is a sophomore with the Lancers.....older brother, Morgan, played four years of basketball at Grace.
