Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Kevin Furst is a fourth-year player with the Yellow Jackets.....moved up to the #1 singles position as a junior.....enters the season with 17 career singles victories.....combined with Dan Ballard to post eight wins at #1 doubles.....NCCAA All-America First Team choice in singles and doubles.....All-American Mideast Conference Team in singles.

2007 - Successfully returned to action following knee surgery and played at #3 singles as a sophomore.....posted an 8-10 record.....won five doubles matches with Derek Hostetter at the #2 position.

2006 - Turned in a 15-2 record at #3 doubles as a freshman with Mike Rhoads…..had a 6-3 slate with four other partners…..recorded a 6-1 singles mark.

High School - Earned three tennis letters at Appleton East High School.....placed 9th in the state in doubles.....all-conference first team performer.....posted a career-best 22-3 singles record as a junior.....part of 2001 Wisconsin state championship playing team tennis for Club West.....played two years of soccer.....Congress Bundestag Scholarship recipient - one year in Germany for senior year.

Personal - Dean’s List student as an international business major at Cedarville University.....studied in Dublin, Ireland during the fall semester of 2007.....born 6/14/87 in Lake Forest, IL.....son of Kenneth and Denene Furst.....has an older sister and one older brother.
