Biography
Carissa Parmerlee is back for her final season of tennis with the Lady Jackets.....posted a 6-9 record at #3 singles last spring.....paired up with #1 singles player Joy Kellogg for an 8-9 mark at #1 doubles.....helped the Lady Jackets to their first win of the season - a 6-3 decision over Wilmington - with a 6-2, 6-4 singles victory and an 8-3 final in doubles.....recorded a 6-3, 6-0 #3 singles win at NCAA Division III Marietta.....pulled out a 9-7 victory in #1 doubles as CU posted a 6-3 AMC victory at Malone.....produced CU’s only singles point versus North Greenville at the NCCAA national tournament..... named to the NCCAA All-America Second Team in doubles.....member of AMC Team in doubles.....NAIA, NCCAA, AMC Scholar-Athlete.....honored as an NCCAA Ministry Athlete.
2008 - Saw limited action in singles.....won her only match of the year - a 7-6 (4), 6-2 win at #6 singles versus Indiana Southeast.....completed the season with a 6-6 record with partner Georgiann McClure at #3 doubles.....posted CU’s lone point in a 5-1 loss to Palm Beach Atlantic in the NCCAA national tournament - an 8-6 verdict at #3 doubles with McClure .....helped CU defeat North Greenville 5-1 with a 9-8 (7-4) win at #3 doubles again with Georgiann McClure at the NCCAA national tournament..... produced an 8-3 win in #3 doubles at Walsh.....finished 5-1 playing with doubles companion Olivia Dolph.....first doubles win with Dolph came in the season-opening 8-1 victory over Southeastern during the spring break trip in Lakeland, Florida.
2007 - Posted a 3-3 singles record.....first career singles wins came in consecutive matches at Carlow (6-0, 6-1) and Geneva (6-4, 6-4).....paired up with four different doubles partners to register a 3-2 tally on the year.....joined with Laura McCully for an 8-6 victory at #2 doubles against AMC and NAIA Region IX champion Walsh.
High School - Produced two letter-winning tennis campaigns at Northview High School.....two-time honorable mention selection.....earned two letters in volleyball.....garnered honorable mention for 2006 season.....also played one year of basketball.....National Honor Society student.
Personal - Dean’s List student as an international studies missiology major at Cedarville University.....born 11/23/87 in Grand Rapids, MI.....daughter of David and Mary Parmerlee.....older brother, Dave, was a member of the CU golf team for one year.....has another older brother.....older sister, Melissa, played two seasons with the Lady Jacket volleyball squad.
