Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Chris Bennington is back for his fourth season on the links with the Yellow Jackets.....rated third on the team as a junior with a 79.63 scoring average.....broke 80 ten times with a low round of two-over par 72 at the Muskingum Invitational.....carded a 74 four times including the Mount Vernon Nazarene Classic which tied for second in the rain-shortened event....tied for third at Shawnee State with back-to-back 74's.

2009-10 - Appeared in eight events as a sophomore averaging 80.76 which ranked fourth on the squad.....tied for 14th at the NCCAA Championship by shooting 76-75-75 with the final two rounds his career low for 18 holes.....tied for ninth in the Shawnee State Invitational at 79-75-154.

2008-09 - Played 10 rounds covering five tournaments during his freshman campaign.....averaged 84.50.....best outing came at the Shawnee State Invitational.....tied for 15th with 76-80-156 to produce his low 18 and 36-hole scores of the year.....shot a 79 in the opening round at the Bethel (Ind.) Classic.

High School - Four-year letter winner in golf at Tuslaw High School.....three-time All-Principals Athletic Conference performer.....twice named to the All-Stark County Team.....averaged 38.6 strokes per 9 holes as a junior and 39.5 as a senior.....regional qualifier.....played four seasons of basketball with three letters.....all-conference, all-county, and all-region player on the hardwood as a senior.

Personal - Business marketing major at Cedarville University.....born 4/5/90 in Massillon, OH.....son of Robert and Shirley Bennington.....older brother Craig was a Yellow Jacket golfer from 1999 through 2002 earning All-AMC honors as a senior.....also has an older sister, Anne.
