Biography
Rob Trennepohl is back to wrap up his collegiate career with his fourth season of cross country.....ran in all eight varsity meets last fall.....team’s first or second finisher in four of the last five outings.....NCCAA All-American finishing 4th overall in 26:23 for the 8K.....registered a career-best time of 26:03 at the Aquinas Invitational for 33rd place out of 228 runners.....American Mideast Conference Second Team honoree placing 8th in 27:16.....completed his track eligibility in the spring.....AMC runner-up in the 10,000 meters.
2007 - Returned to the squad appearing in all eight varsity meets.....finished in CU’s top seven in each of the last seven outings.....posted a season-best time of 26:49 at the NAIA Region IX Championship to finish 18th.....matched that time the next week at the NCCAA Championship to place 30th.....team’s #2 finisher at the NAIA Championship in 26:56.....distance runner on the track & field team.....NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.
2006 - Sat out the fall cross country program and then resumed running during the track & field season.....placed 5th in the AMC 10K in 33:21.59.....turned in a 15:50.77 effort in the 5K at the Cedarville Open.
2005 - Appeared in five varsity meets as a freshman.....posted a season-best time of 27:18 at the Louisville Classic as CU's #7 finisher.....placed 50th of 122 runners at the Cedarville Invitational in 27:21.....competed in two outdoor track & field meets in the 5K and 10K.
High School - Earned four cross country letters at Division I Fairfield High School.....three-time All-Greater Miami Conference selection.....part of 2002 league title squad that placed 5th in the state.....ran a career-best 16:45 in the cross country 5K.....four-year letter winner on the track.....earned All-GMC honors in the 3,200 meters as a senior with a personal-best time of 9:53.....member of 4 x 800 meter relay team that qualified for the regional.....three-time GMC All-Academic choice.
Personal - Dean’s List student as a finance and accounting major at Cedarville University.....born 4/3/87 in Cincinnati, OH.....son of Bob and Sue Trennepohl.....older sister, Sheri, is a 2005 CU graduate.
