Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Jordan Davies is a four-year distance runner for the Yellow Jackets.....appeared in seven varsity cross country meets last fall and was among the team’s top six finishers each time.....registered a career-best 8K time of 25:53 at Aquinas finishing 38th of 313.....placed 63rd of 263 in the All-Ohio (26:01) and was 15th of 105 in the American Mideast Conference (26:06).

2009-10 - Placed 6th in the NCCAA indoor mile in 4:28.19.....during the outdoor season finished 5th in the AMC 1,500 meters and was 7th in the 800.....fastest time in the 1,500 was 4:04.65 at the Cincinnati Invitational and best 800 mark was 1:59.27 at Miami.....ran in every cross country meet as a sophomore.....established a season-best of 26:13 in the Friendship Invitational to place 14th of 178 competitors.....CU’s #5 finisher at Aquinas in 26:35 placing 38th of 255.....crossed the line 21st in the NCCAA in 27:03.....was among the team’s top seven in all eight outings.

2008-09 - Posted a career-best time of 1:58.97 in the outdoor 800 meters at the Cedarville Challenge.....had a personal best 4:03.92 effort in the 1,500 at Cincinnati.....placed 9th in the 800 at the NCCAA Indoor Championship and was 11th in the mile.....one of three cross country runners to see action in all eight outings as a sophomore.....was among team’s top seven runners seven times.....recorded a season-best mark of 26:35 at the NAIA Nationals as CU’s #4 finisher.....also timed in 26:35 at the Aquinas Invitational to place 60th of 228 competitors.....broke 27:00 in two other meets.....finished 21st in the NCCAA Championship in 27:06.

2007-08 - Competed in the 800 and 1,500 meters during the outdoor track season.....finished 8th in the AMC 800 with a season-best mark of 2:00.18.....fastest time in the 1,500 was 4:10.63 in the Cedarville Challenge.....saw limited action during the indoor season in the 800 and mile.....ran in the #5 position for the cross country squad as a rookie.....CU’s #3 finisher at the NAIA Nationals with a season-best time of 26:56.....placed 11th of 94 runners in 27:01 at the Cedarville Open.....finished 37th of 156 at the NCCAA Nationals in 27:02.

High School - Four-year letter winner in cross country and track & field at Shawnee High School.....named the school’s top runner on the cross country unit three times.....two-time regional and state qualifier.....All-Ohio Division II performer on the track in the 1,600 meters as a senior with a school-record time of 4:18.59 which placed 5th.....three-time regional qualifier in the event.....also holds school records in the 800 (1:57.8) and 4 x 800 relay (8:11).....member of Central Buckeye Conference track championship team as a junior.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Electrical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 7/4/89 in Xenia, OH.....son of Don Davies and Brenda Davies.....older sister, Brittany, was a four-year track & field athlete at Malone University.....older sister, Bethany, was an NAIA All-America track performer in her four years at Cedarville.....has one younger brother.
