Biography
Rachel Hurley returns to the Lady Jackets for her final season in the program.....appeared in all 33 games with 32 starts…..squad’s fourth-leading scorer at 8.8 points per game…..led team at the free throw line with a .930 mark on 40-of-43…..added 73 assists and 43 steals…..recorded a third-best 44 field goals from long range…..double figure scorer in 15 games including six of the last seven…..hit for a season-high 16 points on two occasions – at Roberts Wesleyan and versus Taylor at NAIA national tournament…..tied a career-high seven assists in an early-season win at Grace…..tied for fifth all-time with 154 three-point FG’s made…..tied for ninth all-time at CU in three-point FG percentage with .350.....NCCAA Midwest Region Second Team performer…..earned American Mideast Conference honorable mention…..NAIA, NCCAA and AMC Scholar-Athlete.
2008-09 - Started all 30 games during the campaign.....team’s third-leading scorer at 9.1 points per contest.....hit for 52 three-pointers - second most on the squad.....handed out a third-best 70 assists.....garnered 33 steals.....hit for double digits in 15 contests including six consecutive games from Dec. 30 to Jan. 17......tallied a career-high 22 points in an AMC win at Notre Dame OH.....produced a career-high seven assists in a late season win at Houghton.....named to the NCCAA Midwest Region Second Team.....earned AMC honorable mention recognition.
2007-08 - Appeared in all 31 games with 26 starts.....scored a season-high 16 points in her collegiate debut against Daemen.....recorded 15 point games on three other occasions.....dished out a season-high six assists versus Urbana.....tied for third in team scoring honors with 8.5 points per game.....second on the team with 34 steals.....led the way with 58 three-point field goals on .384 shooting.....registered a third-best 56 assists.
High School - Produced a two-sport career at Indiana Area Senior High School.....four-year letter winner in basketball.....team earned consecutive section championships in 2004-05 and 2005-06.....three-time WPIAL AAA All-Section pick and Team MVP choice..... three-time member of the Indiana All-Gazette Team.....2007 Player of the Year.....USA Junior National Team participant in summer of ‘06.....scored over 1,000 career points.....four-year letter winner in soccer.....named Rookie of the Year during freshman season.....three-time WPIAL All-Section Team selection…..National Honor Society student.
Personal - Biology major at Cedarville University.....born 7/2/88 in Beverly, MA.....daughter of Rev. Rick and Beth Hurley.....older sister, Rebecca, played soccer at Grove City College....another older sister, Emily, is a junior member of the soccer squad at Grove City.....also has two younger sisters.
