Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Ethan Blagg is a fourth-year middle distance runner for the Yellow Jackets.....ran the opening meet of the cross country schedule and then sat out the rest of the season with an injury.....clocked in 17:50 at the Dayton 5K Challenge.

2010-11 - Member of NCCAA outdoor runner-up 4 x 800 meter relay squad that set a school record of 7:44.94.....foursome qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championship.....part of 4 x 800 quartet that won American Mideast Conference title.....competed in the 800 meters during the indoor and outdoor seasons.....set an indoor PR of 1:57.95 at the GaREAT Open.....best outdoor mark was 1:58.40 at Miami.....saw action in four varsity cross country meets.....best time in the 8K was 27:32 at Shawnee State as CU’s #8 finisher.

2009-10 - Ran primarily the 800 meters on the track.....won the indoor event at Marietta in a season-best time of 2:00.24.....top mark outdoors was 1:58.51 at Miami.....ran in four varsity cross country meets.....posted a career-best time in the 8K of 27:14 at the Friendship Invitational to place 47th of 178.

2008-09 - NCCAA Indoor All-American on the track as part of a 4 x 800 meter relay team that finished 3rd.....member of 4 x 800 squad that won the AMC title with a school and meet record time of 7:48.02.....best time in the indoor 800 meters was 2:01.81.....placed 6th outdoors in the AMC 800 in 1:59.10.....fastest mark in the event was 1:56.51 in the Cedarville Challenge.....saw action in five varsity cross country meets as a freshman.....best time was 27:52 in the Cedarville Open which placed 37th of 91 runners.

High School - Homeschool graduate who competed in five different sports during his prep career.....three-year letter winner in track and cross country at Marshalltown High School.....participated one year each in basketball, soccer, and swimming.....earned two letters in basketball at Central Iowa Christian Academy.

Personal - Exercise science major at Cedarville University.....born 4/19/90 in Marshalltown, IA.....son of David and Diane Blagg.....younger brother, Ben, is a sophomore football player at Trinity International University.....also has an older sister and two younger sisters.
