Biography

Beth Jones is in her final year with the Lady Jacket women’s track & field squad specializing in the jump events.....totaled 65 individual points in the 2013 season.....placed 11th in the long jump at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Indoor Championship with a season-best 17-6 effort.....top outing in the indoor triple jump event was a 35-0.5 performance at the Youngstown State Invitational.....a 17-8.75 long jump at the NCCAA Outdoor Championship earned an eighth-place finish.....won the triple jump event at the Yellow Jacket Open with a 36-9 performance.....captured the triple jump event at the Cedarville Collegiate All-Comers Meet with a 35-3.25 effort.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2012 - Posted a team-best 112 individual points during the campaign.....took the lone CU women’s win in the field events by placing first in the triple jump at the Indiana Wesleyan Indoor Classic (34-11.75).....captured the long jump title at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational with a 34-10.25 performance.....finished fourth in the triple jump (35-1) at the Indiana University Hoosier Hills indoor meet.....opened the outdoor season with a third-place finish in the triple jump (34-10.25) and a seventh-place spot in the long jump (16-9.75) at the University of Cincinnati Relays.....won the long jump event (17-3.25) at the Ohio Independent Championship in North Canton, Ohio.....helped the Lady Jackets to a dominating win at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open title as a double winner in the field events - long jump (16-10.5) and the triple jump (34-9).....placed second in the long jump with a career-best leap of 18-1 at the National Christian College Athletic Association Championship to earn NCCAA All-America recognition.....recorded an outdoor season-best triple jump of 36-0.75 to place fifth at the NCCAA Championship.

2011 - Produced a successful rookie collegiate season.....registered a second-best 44 individual indoor points....posted a season-best long jump effort of 17-5.25 for a seventh-place finish at the NCCAA Indoor Championship.....also recorded a season-best 35-0.25 triple jump performance for another seventh-place at the NCCAA championship event.....grabbed the long jump title at the Otterbein Invitational (17-1.25).....took first-place in the triple jump event at the Cedarville Collegiate Indoor Invitational (34-0).....tallied a second-best 52 individual outdoor points last spring.....earned NCCAA Outdoor All-America recognition in the triple jump, 4 x 100 meter relay and the 4 x 400 meter relay.....member of the American Mideast Conference First Team in the triple jump with a season-best 36-3.5.....earned the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Invitational triple jump title with a 35-7.75 performance.....finished in third position in the long jump at the AMC Championship with a season-best effort of 17-8.75.

High School - Registered a three-sport prep career at Eaton High School.....four-year letter winner in track & field.....two-time Colorado 3A State Champion in the triple jump.....captured the 2009 state title in the long jump.....member of the state champion 4 x 200 meter relay squad in 2008.....holds state long jump record of 18-2.75.....four-time all-conference and all-state honoree.....currently holds seven records at Eaton High School.....named 2009 Greely Tribune Track Athlete of the Year.....four-year cross country letter winner.....four-year all-conference selection.....holds second-fastest 5K cross country mark at Eaton High School.....two-year participant in basketball.....two-time academic all-state selection.
