Biography
Jud Brooker enters his senior season having come off his finest year as a Yellow Jacket.....team’s #1 runner in all seven outings in 2007.....NCCAA All-American after finishing 7th of 156 competitors in 25:40.....placed 3rd in the NAIA Region IX Championship for All-AMC First Team honors with a career-best time of 25:39 in the 8K.....came in 61st of 258 runners at the NAIA Championship in 25:57.....individual champion of the inaugural Cedarville Open in 25:58.....NAIA Indoor All-American on the track in the mile.....NCCAA All-American in the indoor mile and outdoor 1,500 meters.....qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championship in the 1,500.
2006 - Assembled a solid sophomore campaign and ended the season as the #4 finisher on a squad that placed 10th in the NAIA.....turned in a season-best 26:18 at the AMC/NAIA Region IX Championship to place 15th.....recognized as AMC honorable mention.....CU’s #2 finisher at the Southeastern Classic in 26:22 to place 14th of 217 runners.....NCCAA Outdoor All-American on the track in the 1,500 meters.....qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championship in the 1,500.
2005 - Got off to an outstanding start as a freshman before he was sidelined at mid-season with an injury.....ran in the first four meets and finished among the team’s top three finishers in each of the first three outings.....placed 20th in the Cedarville Invitational with a season-best time of 26:19.....CU’s #2 finisher at the Louisville Classic in 26:29.....NCCAA Outdoor All-American on the track in the 4 x 800 meter relay.
High School - Earned four letters each in cross country and track at Penns Valley High School.....two-time conference champion in cross country.....ran a career-best 16:11 in the 5K at the 2004 Cedarville Invitational to place 2nd in the Blue Division to lead team to overall title.....on the track, graduated with school and conference records in the 800; 1,600; and 3,200 meters.....two-time league champion in all three events.....PIAA state runner-up in the 1,600.....district 1,600 meter champ as a senior and was part of winning 4 x 800 meter relay district title quartet as a junior.
Personal - Carries a multi-age physical education major at Cedarville University.....born 3/22/87 in Des Moines, IA.....son of Scott and Jane Brooker.....both parents were four-year distance runners at CU.....mother was an NAIA All-American on the track and the first female track athlete inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame.....uncle is CU track & field head coach Jeff Bolender.....has one younger brother.
