Cedarville University’s decision to pursue membership in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) constitutes the most significant decision in the history of athletics at the school.
Cedarville has considered NCAA membership at least two other times in the last 15 years. However, the University has enjoyed a rich relationship with the NAIA, institutionally and through its coaches. Many have had deep ties to the NAIA, including filling key leadership roles and gaining recognition in its Hall of Fame.
Because of this momentous change, the athletic department provides the following insights concerning this decision.
