Welcome back for another track and field blog entry. We’ve competed in two meets since the last entry. The majority of the team traveled to Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee this past weekend. Conditions were far from ideal. Snow and rain plagued the meet, but our guys persevered. This meet was highlighted by Isaiah Kelly’s epic run in the 10K. He ran an incredible time of 29:43.92, which broke the school record, hit the national provisional mark, and earned him G-MAC and NCCAA Athlete of the Week. Another notable finish on the track was Ramen Felumlee, who finished fifth in the 1500 meters in a time of 3:50.15. We also had a few standout performances in the field events. Caleb Fauth placed third in the javelin with a heave of 187’2”. Andrew Reinhard finished fifth in the high jump clearing 6’4”, and Grant Weise finished fourth in shot put throwing 48’4.75.”

Welcome back for the second mens’ entry of the outdoor season. We competed at the Western Kentucky Relays this past weekend. A small group of us competed on Friday, highlighted by Andrew Reinhard’s runner-up finish in the high jump. Much to the chagrin of their mother’s, the Friday crew got pretty sunburnt, but they all seemed to compete well.
The rest of us joined on Saturday where there were a number of solid performances. Ramen Felumlee led a trio of 1,500 meters runners who finished top three in the event. His time of 3:54.20 was just ahead of Cooper Peterson and Braedon Killion. Trevor Cross and Ethan Wallis finished second and fourth in the 3K Steeplechase, and David Entz and Trey Gruet both finished third in the 110 meter hurdles and 400 meter hurdles, respectively. We also had a pair of fourth place finishers in the throws. Caleb Fauth threw 181’3” in the javelin, and Grant Weise threw 139’4” in the discus. The bus ride back was long, but we arrived back to campus around 1 a.m.
We will be competing this next weekend at the Lee Invitational in Cleveland, TN.

Outdoor season is upon us! We opened the spring season on our own turf this past Saturday at the Yellow Jacket Open. The conditions were far from ideal with 20-30 mph winds and snow throughout the day. Despite the adverse circumstances, we won the meet, scoring a whopping 174 total points.
David Entz
Four of our guys won individual events. Trevor Cross won the 3K Steeplechase (that water must’ve been frigid) in a time of 9:57.40. Welcome back to the final blog entry for the 2022 indoor season. This past week we competed in the G-MAC Championship meet held at the University of Findlay. We loaded the buses around 10 a.m. on Friday morning and made the two hour ride to arrive at the track around noon. We set up camp in the team room and prepared for competition. The facilities at Findlay were very nice, and they were great hosts. There were a number of great performances on Friday afternoon highlighted by the DMR’s first place finish. The quartet of Ramen Felumlee, Joseph Heise, Braeden Killion, and Evan Leist finished in a time of 9:57.52, which is also a school record. Cooper Peterson finished second in the men’s 5K, and a handful of others qualified for finals on Saturday.
After a restful night at the hotel that included time in the pool for some, we returned Saturday morning to finish the meet. Ramen Felumlee topped the podium again in the mile with a time of 4:11.03, and Evan Leist won the 3K, finishing in 8:27.08. David Entz finished fourth in the 60 meter hurdles, and Braeden Killion and Trey Gruet were both fifth in the mile and 400 meters respectively. Welcome back to another men’s track & field blog!
This past weekend we competed in the NCCAA Indoor Championship. We hosted this meet, and it was nice to be at home with no early mornings and no long bus rides. This was a two day meet spread out over Friday and Saturday.
We had a slew of outstanding performances that led to us defending our team title as NCCAA Indoor Champions. We had a handful of first place finishes, including Isaiah Kelly in the 5K, the DMR (run by Ethan Hunter, Caleb Pendleton, Braedon Killion, and Ramen Felumlee), Ramen Felumlee in the mile, Trevor Cross in the 3K, David Entz in the 60 meter hurdles, and the 4 x 400 (run by myself, Brandon Thomas, Will Faunce, and Trey Gruet). There were many other additional second and third place finishes that can be found in the meet
recap. It was an incredible meet, and we had a great time as a team cheering each other one and supporting one another.
Our next meet will be on Saturday at Wittenberg followed by our conference championship the next week. Stay tuned to hear how those meets turn out!

Welcome back for another men’s track and field blog. This past week we competed at the Ashland Open. This meet was intended to take place over two days, but due to inclement weather, the meet was condensed to just Saturday. A few of our distance runners departed way too early on Saturday morning, and the rest of us left campus around 6:30 a.m. After a two-ish hour bus ride, we arrived at the brand new Ashland facility, which was an extremely nice place to compete.
We had a few standout performances throughout the day. The 3K trio of Evan Leist, Ramen Felumlee, and Cooper Peterson placed third, eighth, and thirteenth, respectively, with Leist running the second fastest time in school history. Also running well in the 5K were Caleb Pendleton and Colin Cramer, who placed second and third. Lastly, the 4 x 400 team of Trey Gruet, myself, Brandon Thomas, and Will Faunce ran the fourth fastest time in school history and placed fifth overall.
After a delicious Chipotle dinner, we arrived back on campus around 11:20 p.m.; it was a long day, but we were grateful for the chance to compete given the adverse weather conditions.
This week we are on our home soil as we host the NCCAA Indoor Championship on February 11-12.

Welcome back to the third entry for the 2022 track season.
This past week we hosted the Cedarville Collegiate Invite. It was nice to have a meet on our home soil with no early morning and no long bus ride. Fifteen teams gathered in the Doden Field House to compete. It was a pretty busy meet, which provided lots of excitement.
We won fifteen events en route to a massive first place finish. Trey Gruet, Braedon Killion, Adam Klauck, Nathan Menk, Matt Julian, and Andrew Reinhard all won first place in their respective events along with our 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 relay teams.
After a pasta dinner, we turned in for the night and returned early the next morning to work the Richey High School Tune-Up meet.
The action will continue this weekend at Ashland University on February 4-5.

Welcome back to another blog entry for the 2022 track season.
This past Saturday our team competed at the Hillsdale Invitational. The team left in two groups. One group left at 5:30 a.m. and the second group at 7:30 a.m. Unfortunately, I was stuck on the early bus (insert tears). The bus ride there was warm for half of us and freezing for the other half. After three hours of stiff joints and trying to sleep, we arrived at the meet at about 9:30 a.m. Field events started at 11:00 a.m., and the second bus arrived thirty minutes later.
It was a bit cold in the field house, which is unusual for an indoor meet. There were a few standout performances from our distance boys. Ramen Felumlee ran an excellent time of 4:19.43 in the mile, and Evan Leist led a strong group of runners in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:31:60. It was a solid start to the 2022 calendar year. We ate pizza for dinner at the track and loaded up for the long bus ride back to campus. After a bathroom break at Walmart, we arrived back at campus at 8:30 p.m.
Our next meet is the Cedarville Open this Friday at 2:30 p.m.

Jonny Martone and I placed second in the triple jump and 200 meters, respectively. Third place finishers include Nathan Menk in the triple jump, Andrew Reinhard in the high jump, Turner White in the long jump, and Grant Weise in the shot put.
