Welcome back to the blog Jacket fans!

This will be the last time you hear from us as our team finished the 2022 season last Saturday night in the second round of the NCAA DII Tournament. The past week was full of excitement and anticipation for what our schedule would hold for the week after we finished up our conference tournament the previous weekend. After training on Monday we gathered together to watch the NCAA II selection show over some Texas Roadhouse and were excited to be ranked at the #2 seed in the Midwest Region! This gave us the opportunity to host the first and second round of the tournament which is something our program has never gotten to do over the years.

The rest of the week we geared up for our first round game on Thursday against McKendree from Illinois. We came out strong with freshman Sophie Browndyke scoring her first collegiate goal in the 32nd minute. McKendree tied it up later in the second half, but Mary Kate Wyer was able to convert on a penalty kick and Addie Erslan gave us an insurance goal in the last 25 seconds of the game, making it 3-1. This win allowed us to move on to the second round on Saturday.

We took Friday to recover and prepare for our next test, Ferris State. We woke up Saturday to a couple inches of snow which would prove to make an exciting game.  Despite the weather, we were still able to get our game in (shout out to our men’s soccer team for spending their afternoon shoveling snow off our field)! We knew it would be a fight all game and despite a late come-back goal by Mary Kate Wyer and a tremendous team effort, Ferris State ended up on top in the end.

While this was a tough way to end our season, I am reminded and encouraged by how much our team has grown on and off the field this fall and the unity we have means more than any win could. This program has been one of the biggest blessings in my life; it has challenged me as a person and as a player and is something I will always be thankful for. Getting to share the Gospel with two new teams this week was a really cool thing for our team to experience and it is amazing to see how the Lord continues to use soccer to advance His kingdom.

Aleah and I have loved getting to update you this season and we want to thank all the parents and fans who supported us during this fun season.

As always, Go Jackets!

Hello Jacket fans and welcome back to the blog!

This past week we had the privilege of hosting the G-MAC Tournament at our beautiful home field. We kicked off the post-season with a semi-final game against the Oilers of the University of Findlay on Thursday. After having a bye the previous weekend, we felt rested and ready to come out strong, and we did just that! We managed to win 6-1, and had six different goal scorers! It was an incredible environment, with beautiful weather for soccer and lots of supportive fans cheering us on!

On Saturday, we had a rematch championship game versus Ashland University. To help ease our nerves and get our hearts and minds in the right spot, we began the day with some team worship. Afterwards, several of us cheered on our men’s team as they also took on Ashland in their championship game. Though it was warm, the weather on Saturday proved to be a challenge with extreme gusts of wind that kept the ball in one half of the field for most of the game. Despite a valiant effort, Ashland managed to put a goal in the back of the net in the first half of the match, with the wind on their side. At halftime, we regrouped, and felt composed knowing that with the wind, we would produce more offensive opportunities. The second half was a battle, as we put on the pressure and pressed hard for the equalizer. Unfortunately, we were unable to convert, and ended up losing 1-0. We concluded the evening with an enjoyable time of food and fellowship in the team room with our families.

Though we are certainly disappointed with the loss, we are looking forward to what the rest of the season may hold. We will find out if we advance with an at-large bid to the NCAA National Tournament on Monday evening at 7 p.m. during the selection show. We are hopeful that this is not the end of our season, and are excited for the opportunity to reach new teams with the Gospel!

As always, thank you for your support! Go Jackets!

Welcome back to the blog Jacket family!!

This past week we finished out our regular season with our last game of the season against long-time rival Ohio Dominican. It was a hard-fought game all the way to the end but senior Mary Kate Wyer’s goal fired early in the first half ended up holding out for a 1-0 result. A big shout out to our back line as well for being solid all game and keeping chances limited in the back. This win meant a lot to us as we were able to finish out our regular season strong, while also securing a bye for the first round of the G-MAC Tournament. We took the remainder of the week to rest and reset as we look forward to getting back out on the field, especially on our turf. Getting to host the tournament is an opportunity we are excited for and we are blessed to be able to continue our season in this way.

WSOC - Costumes
3v3 Tournament Winners!
On our off day this past Saturday, we held the first ever inter-squad 3v3 tournament where each individual team got to come up with their own costume and team name. Our coaching staff even got in on the fun and made a team up themselves. It was neck and neck the whole way with double elimination being in play to determine a winner. Our 3v3 champion this year was the team, “Coaching Staff Better Half” as pictured (right) with winners (l-to-r) Cora Van Dyck, Carlie Stutzman, Addie Erslan, and Jocelyn Gross with an uncanny resemblance to our real coaching staff - (l-to-r) Grace Stiles, Hannah Shay, Jonathan Meade, Dr. Kevin Roper.

We are excited as we look forward to this week of our post season and are ready to see where the tournament takes us. Our next game is the G-MAC Semi-final as we face Findlay at home, Thursday, Nov. 3 at 7 pm. Come out this weekend and support your Lady Jackets!!

Hey Jacket fans and welcome back to the blog!

This past week, we headed south as we had two G-MAC games on the road versus Kentucky Wesleyan College and Trevecca Nazarene University. We began the trip on Thursday morning, and checked into our hotel before heading to KWC’s field for our match under the lights. We managed to get the win 2-0, with goals being scored by sophomore Addie Erslan and graduate student Olivia Hoffman. Both goals were assisted by sophomore Megan McClish.

Friday was a great day of fun and fellowship. We started off the morning with team Bible study at the hotel, and then headed back to KWC for recovery. After we did some mobility exercises and knocked the ball around, we finished off the session with some competitive team-building games. We concluded with our annual speed walking competition, where each of the classes compete against one another. Despite some controversy over the official speed-walking rules, the sophomore class got the W. Thanks to the generosity of some of our parents, we enjoyed a delicious dinner that evening at Texas Roadhouse.

Saturday morning, we hit the road early, and began the trip to Nashville for our noon kickoff at Trevecca. The final result was 2-0, with Liv Hoffman bending in a corner kick and senior Mary Kate Wyer putting in the second goal, assisted by sophomore Payton Fraley.

Huge shout out to the backline and our goalkeeper, junior Brooke Ackley, for keeping it tight in the back and securing the clean sheet for both our matches this weekend! The win on Saturday was thrilling as it secured us the regular season G-MAC title! This means we get a first round bye and also get to host the G-MAC Tournament! We give God all the glory for the success we’ve had so far, and humbly look forward to the rest of the season! The trip this weekend was filled with many laughs, memories, and was a great reminder of the blessing we have to get to play the game we love, with the people we love.

This week, we’ll be looking to finish out the regular season strong as we face Ohio Dominican away on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. As always, thank you for following along and for your support! Until next time!

CUWS A Day in the Life: Sadie

October 17, 2022

(Editor's Note: This week's CUWS Blog is written by grad student Olivia Hoffman)

Welcome back to the blog!

Last week we had our last home game of the regular season when we faced Kentucky Wesleyan. We came out on top with a 4-0 win, as four different players tallied goals and sophomore Payton Fraley scored her first career goal. It was a great team effort by all and we were thrilled to come out with the clean sheet.

The rest of the week we focused on our next game, a tough rematch with Tiffin. We got out on the road early Saturday morning and traveled the two hours to Tiffin. We knew going in that it would be a hard-fought match and that’s just what we got. Junior Maya Ryder scored the first goal of the game and Aleah Martone headed in a cross in the second half to make it 2-0. Later in the second half though Tiffin knocked in a goal to make it 2-1. We were able to hang on throughout the rest of the game and come away with the win.

While each game is a big game, the win we got on Saturday made a big difference for us as it allowed us to claim the sole top spot in the G-MAC standings. With this win, we were also able to set a new record of win streaks for the program, making it nine straight. We celebrated the end of a great weekend with a team favorite, Chipotle and ice cream on the way home. We are so thankful and excited with where we are right now but we know there is still work to do, one game at a time!

Thank you to all the parents and other supporters that have always been there cheering us on! We will see you next week when Aleah catches you up on our big trip to Tennessee as we face our next two G-MAC opponents, Kentucky Wesleyan and Trevecca Nazarene.

Go Jackets!!

COACHES TAKEOVER CUWS Day in the Life: Behind the Scenes with Coaches

October 10, 2022

Hello Jacket fans and welcome back to the blog!

This past week, we had two more exciting G-MAC contests. To kick off the week, we were back on the road for our second match up of the season against Ursuline College. In the 17th minute of the game, Ursuline managed to put one in the back of the net. But, we were able to keep our composure and respond just four minutes later when sophomore Megan McClish headed in a corner kick from junior Emily Walton. The game was a physical battle that remained deadlocked at 1-1 until the 85th minute, when graduate student Olivia Hoffman sent in a cross that senior MK Wyer collected and finished to get the game-winner. After the game, we were able to meet again with their team, and many were able to have encouraging conversations and pray with the girls we wrote our notes to.

Womens Soccer 2022 Seniors
Senior Day 2022
We were happy to be back at home for our second game of the week against the Malone Pioneers. Before the match, we took some time to honor our nine seniors for their legacy and commitment to our program. The festivities began with the underclassmen decorating our locker room with some memorable photos, thoughtful gifts, and sweet notes of encouragement. Just prior to kickoff, each senior was recognized on the game field and greeted by the coaching staff and their families. We took some pictures, and then it was time to play! We started off strong with a goal in the 18th minute by Liv Hoffman, with the assist going to Addie Erslan after a great individual effort to get the ball end line. Unfortunately, Malone responded just two minutes later with a goal of their own. But, we kept battling and in the 29th minute, Megan McClish hit in a bending, left-footed strike, also assisted by Addie. Despite several close chances, no more goals were scored, and the final result was another 2-1 win.

As we head into the final stretch of the regular season, we are thanking the Lord for several blessings: we had a wonderful weekend celebrating our seniors, we are seeing encouraging fruit from our post-game ministry, we are extremely healthy as a team, and we are seeing our hard work pay off on the game field! We praise God for the opportunity we have to use soccer as a platform for Him, for the work He is doing in and through us, and we are extremely excited for all that He has in store for the remainder of the season!

This week, we’ve got two more games against G-MAC opponents. On Thursday, we take on Kentucky Wesleyan College at home at 4:30 pm. Our second match of the week is another road game at Tiffin University at 1 pm on Saturday.

Thank you for your support and for following along!

Welcome back to the BLOG Yellow Jacket family!

This past week was an exciting one for us as we grabbed two more wins, one on the road and one at home. We traveled up to Findlay on Thursday morning for our first test of the week. Findlay is always a tough competitor and in typical Cedarville vs. Findlay fashion, it came down to the wire. Aleah Martone converted on a beautiful penalty kick early in the second half, but Findlay tied it up moments later. It wasn’t until the 87th minute when Megan McClish headed in the game winner off of a corner kick for her third goal of the season. This was the first time in over five years that Cedarville has beat Findlay at their home field, and the first time anyone on the current roster has come out on top over the Oilers. Needless to say, Coach let us celebrate this big win with a post game trip to Culver’s

WSOC - ALUMNIThe rest of the week we geared up for Homecoming Weekend and our next opponent, Tiffin. It was a great weekend with many alumni getting to return for a visit. Homecoming is always a special time for past and current players as we can reflect on our program as a whole and see the legacy many of these alumni have left that continues to make a lasting impact on us today. Pictured are some of our wonderful alumni who were able to make it out this weekend!

We had a great showing on the field with seven different players getting to score for us, leaving us with a 7-1 result over Tiffin, who we will meet again in just two weeks. We are so thankful for the success we have had so far this season and are looking to continue it as we head into the back half of our regular season.

This week we get back on the road to travel to Pepper Pike, Ohio to face Ursuline and then we celebrate Senior Night at home at 7 pm on Saturday vs. Malone.

As always, thank you for all the support and Go Jackets!!

Hello Jacket fans and welcome back to the blog!

This past week’s slate of games began with non-conference play against Daemen University from western New York. We had an exciting 4-0 win, with all four goals coming in the second half of the game. It was a great team effort, as we had 25 players from our roster contribute on the pitch. We managed to open the scoring in the 49th minute, and then things really started moving in our favor. In the 65th minute, graduate student Liv Hoffman had an incredible side-netting finish off an assist from sophomore Payton Fraley. Just a minute later, freshman Molly McNeil had her first ever collegiate goal off a 20-yard rip, assisted by Liv. Rounding out the scoring was junior Maddy Nelson, with the assist coming from junior Tiffany Campbell. We were thrilled to score some goals, but also ecstatic to keep the clean sheet. Huge shout out to our entire back line and goalkeeper, junior Brooke Ackley, for fighting hard to keep our opponent at nil.

We truly had a blast playing the game we love together on our beautiful home field on Wednesday, but what was even more fulfilling was the chance we had to share Christ with a new team. Since Cedarville last played Daemen, both rosters have entirely turned over. We were very encouraged by how willing Daemen was to circle up with us and pray after the game and how engaging many of their players were when we gave them our notes of encouragement. It was a good reminder of our team’s ultimate goal of reaching as many teams as we can with Christ through the gift of soccer.

After a long stretch of home games, we were back on the road for our second game of the week versus G-MAC opponent, Lake Erie College. The first half was action-packed but scoreless, as we hit the post multiple times and their goalkeeper had several impressive saves. With just 15 left to play, Liv Hoffman had an amazing individual effort to give us the 1-0 advantage over our opponents. Special shout out to many of our friends and family who drove from near and far to support us, we love you guys!!

Molly McNeill
Molly McNeill

To wrap up this week’s blog, it’s time for our final freshman spotlight. Molly McNeill comes to us from Taylor Mill, Kentucky and she is currently undeclared on her major. She plays in the midfield for us, where she brings a lot of good energy, smart distributing, and a powerhouse shot! A fun fact about Molly is that she has been zip lining in Jamaica and her go-to midnight snack is Oreos and milk. Welcome to the CUWS family Molly!

This week, we have two important G-MAC contests. First, we are away at Findlay on Thursday for an early afternoon kickoff at 1 pm. On Saturday, we have our annual homecoming game at 2:30 pm versus Tiffin.

Thank you for following along and for your continued support!

Welcome back to the blog Yellow Jacket family!

It was another action-packed week for us with two home games against the two newest teams in our conference, Northwood and Ashland. Our first test of the week was Northwood, who joins our conference from Midland, Michigan. We battled through a scoreless first half but then Northwood was able to score two in the second half, giving us our first conference loss.

The rest of the week in training we moved our focus on to Ashland, as this was another big game for us. Last year, we lost to Ashland three times throughout the season, so seeking out redemption in this game was on many of our minds. We were able to get out to a fast start as it only took Megan McClish four minutes to get her head on a ball and in the back of the net. We scored another goal shortly before the end of the first half and were able to hold the Eagles scoreless until the last few minutes of the game.

After our game we celebrated our 2-1 win with our first annual Cedar Soup Off. Lots of parents were able to make it out for the weekend and many contributed soups to the contest. Twelve different labeled soups were spread out anonymously and players and coaches were able to vote on their favorite.  It was a tight race, but Danny and Paula McNeill came out with the win and were awarded the Golden Ladle. Honorable mention goes to the Fraleys who came in second place and the Stutzmans who claimed third place. It was a great evening celebrating a hard-fought win with our biggest supporters.

Maddie McConnell
Maddie McConnell

Our freshman spotlight this week is Maddie McConnell. Maddie, a nursing major, comes to us all the way from Lee’s Summit, Missouri and plays forward for us. A fun fact about Maddie is that she loves the smell of vanilla and her go to midnight snack is chocolate covered pretzels. We are so excited to watch Maddie score some goals for us this fall and continue to grow as a player!

Heading into this week, we face Daemen at home on Wednesday (4 PM) and then hit the road on Saturday to play Lake Erie (3 PM)! As always, thank you for the prayers and support as we continue throughout our season!

See you next week!

- Olivia

Hello and welcome back to the CUWS blog!

This past week was exciting, as we kicked off conference play with two games versus G-MAC schools! We were very appreciative of the support of many friends and families who were kind enough to come out and encourage the team as we took on the Ursuline Arrows and Walsh Cavaliers.

First, on Thursday, we played Ursuline College, and managed to come out with a nail-biting 2-1 victory. We scored the first goal of the match from a great effort by the front line culminating with sophomore Audrey Nelson putting the ball in the back of the net! Ursuline fought back to tie up the game, but we kept pushing and managed to get the game-winner with just over one minute left to play. The second goal was created off of a cross by Audrey, and was deflected in by an Ursuline defender who was being pressed by sophomore Megan McClish.

Our second game of the week came on Saturday versus Walsh University. We knew Walsh would be a tough opponent, giving us an opportunity to sharpen up on our areas of weakness and rally together for a battle. The first half proved to be just that, with a 0-0 score at halftime. In the second half, our hard work was rewarded, as we managed to put in four goals! Junior Maya Ryder struck first with a hard, low shot that got past Walsh’s keeper in the 51st minute. Next, Senior MK Wyer sent in a beautiful cross that one of the Walsh defenders tapped in. Not too long after, Maya was taken down in the box, and MK finished from the PK spot to make it 3-0. Unfortunately, Walsh was able to get one back, making it 3-1. But just three minutes later, we responded with a fantastic fourth goal scored off the head of Megan McClish. It was a great team effort, and felt amazing to get a decisive victory against a G-MAC foe.

Jaidyn McKell
Jaidyn McKell

Another week means it’s time to meet another freshman. This week’s freshman highlight is Jaidyn McKell. Jaidyn plays in the midfield or the back line and comes to us from Chillicothe, Ohio. She is a nursing major, and can perform a highly impressive amount of soccer drills despite recovering from an ankle injury in a boot. We can’t wait to have Jaidyn join us on the field very soon as she is getting super close to returning to the pitch! A fun fact about Jaidyn is that she knows how to ski and snow board and her go-to midnight snack is a cheese quesadilla. Join us in welcoming her to the CUWS family!

This week, we have two extremely exciting conference games on deck as we take on the newest member of the G-MAC, Northwood University, as well as get our chance at redemption against 2021 G-MAC winner, Ashland University. We are grateful that both matches will be played at home! A bit different from usual, we will play Northwood on Wednesday, September 14th at 4pm. Our championship rematch game against Ashland will take place on Saturday, September 17th at 3pm. As we seek to prepare well for these two very important games, we would really appreciate your prayer support, and also your fan support whether that be by attending in-person or by tuning in online to watch the live stream.

Thanks for following along this week!

(Editor's Note: This week's CUWS Blog is written by grad student Olivia 'Liv' Hoffman)

Welcome back to the blog!

This past week we were able to get some much needed rest as we started our first stretch of home games. Playing at home under the lights is always something we look forward to, especially with the fun atmosphere of the home crowd. We had a short week of training as we prepared for our home opener against UIndy on Wednesday. This last non-conference game was a tough test for us as UIndy is a strong team, but it was good preparation for us heading into this week. Although UIndy came out on top 1-0, we were able to take away many valuable lessons from this game and are excited to get back to work this week. The rest of the week we were able to get some recovery and training sessions in before looking forward to the long weekend.

Sophie Browndyke
Sophie Browndyke

Another week means another new freshman to introduce! This week’s new face is Sophie Browndyke, a sports psychology major who comes to us from West Harrison, Indiana. Sophie is a midfielder/defender and has brought a lot of intensity to our team so far! One thing you may not know about Sophie is that she played football in high school and her go-to midnight snack is vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. Her constant smile and joking nature make her a joy to be around and we can’t wait to watch her dominate this year. Welcome to the CUWS family Sophie!

This week we open up G-MAC play at home with games against Ursuline on Thursday at 4:30 pm and Walsh on Saturday at 4:30 pm! We are so excited to continue our season and hopefully grab two wins.

As always, thanks for the support and for following along!

First Day of College | Road Trip Style Part 2

CUWS A Day in the Life | Cora

August 30, 2022

Hello CUWS family! Welcome back to the blog!

This past week, we had a very exciting road trip to Cleveland, Tennessee, where we played our first two regular season games at Lee University! We hit the road on Wednesday morning, and drove all the way to our hotel. That evening, we were fortunate to be able to get in some touches and shake out our bus legs at a local high school. Despite the training session being late in the day, it was shockingly warm and humid. This practice made us quickly realize that one of our keys to success for this trip would be lots of hydration!!

Next up, it was the day we had been working for and looking forward to for a long time: our first GAMEDAY! We had breakfast in the hotel, followed by a CUWS road trip gameday tradition, a “brisk team walk” (or BTW for short) to help us get our legs going. At 4:30 pm, we kicked off against a strong non-conference opponent from the South Atlantic Conference, Carson-Newman. It was a blazing hot battle on Lee’s turf field, but after 90 minutes, we came out with our first W of the season! The final score was 2-0. The first goal came in the 22nd minute with a beautifully placed shot by Olivia Hoffman (assisted by Mary Kate Wyer and Addie Erslan). With just a few minutes left in the game, Mary Kate got a goal of her own, assisted by Megan McClish. Also, a huge shout out to our goalkeeper, Brooke Ackley for making many crucial saves and keeping the clean sheet. It was a fantastic team effort, and very exciting for us to start the season off with a W!

On our off day, we enjoyed some extra down time between our recovery session and a delicious lunch at Olive Garden. One of our waiters was so dedicated to serving our team that he showed up to our game the next day!! We ended the evening with a game night at the hotel, where we enjoyed a sweet time of fellowship joined by many of our supportive parents who made the trip to cheer us on.

Saturday was an exciting opportunity for us, as we had the chance to play the No. 7 ranked team in the country, Lee University. We started off the day with breakfast in the hotel, followed by a BTW, and then a team meeting to go over our game plan. It was a stifling hot game on Lee’s home turf, and nothing shy of a battle. The final result ended in a 1-1 tie, with Lee scoring within the first five minutes of play. Our team fought back, and in the 29th minute Megan McClish hit a shot that deflected off of a Lee defender to equalize. The game was a tremendous display of grit, mental toughness, and encouragement by the entire team.

Sadie Lenc
Sadie Lenc

It's time to introduce another one of our freshmen… this week’s spotlight is on #18 Sadie Lenc. Sadie is from Stowe, Ohio and plays as a center back for the team. She is majoring in early childhood education and her easy-going nature coupled with her witty humor make spending time with her very enjoyable! A fun fact about Sadie is that she is adopted and her go-to midnight snack is goldfish. Welcome to the team, Sadie!

This week, we get to open up our home matches with another non-conference game versus UIndy. Game time is Wednesday, August 31st at 7 pm! We expect it to be another good test for us as we prepare to open up G-MAC play the following week.

Thank you for your prayers, support, and for following along with us this season!

August 25, 2022

Hello Cedarville Women’s Soccer family and welcome to the 2022 blog! Our names are Olivia Hoffman and Aleah Martone, two graduate students at Cedarville, and we are excited to keep you all up-to-date on all things CUWS and how our season goes this fall!

Olivia Hoffman
Olivia Hoffman

This season, we had the opportunity to go on a pre-season trip to the East Coast where we got to spend time in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey. The majority of our time was spent at Sandy Cove Camp in Maryland, but on our way there, we had the privilege of stopping for dinner and a tour of Walton Farms, the home of our very own Emily Walton. That night we arrived at Sandy Cove Campgrounds and got settled into cabins for the next couple of days.

We spent the rest of the week training at Marisa Hoober’s home in Elkton - yep, that’s right, she has a regulation sized soccer field in her backyard. Special shout out to Chuck Hoober for having the field looking beautiful and to Diane for painting the fields and feeding our team.

Our team was also able to serve the local community in Elkton through a few service projects. We divided into three groups to paint a church, clear trails at Sandy Cove, and partner with a ministry to help prepare and serve meals for those in need. This was a great time to step away from the soccer side of things and bond as a team as we served alongside each other.

Our first scrimmage of the season was against Wilmington University in Delaware. We were able to come out with a 4-0 win with goals scored by Addie Erslan, Audrey Nelson, Maya Ryder, and Megan McClish. After the game, we enjoyed a fun and relaxing evening at another player, Hannah Sareyka’s home. Many of us enjoyed swimming, lawn games, and a great meal before we headed back for our last night at Sandy Cove.

After we got back to campus from our trip, our typical pre-season week began with trainings, ice baths, and lots of Chuck’s dinners with the team. Keeping with pre-season tradition, we devoted some time to our amazing race competition and field dedication. We split up into teams and completed a variety of challenges across campus, ending with a competitive relay race around the track. Later in the week, we did our field dedication, which is a special time for our team as a whole and as individuals to pray over the season and remember our “why.” We ended the night with a bonfire at Dr. White’s house where we enjoyed some great fellowship and s’mores.

The rest of the week was filled with training sessions as we prepared for our final pre-season scrimmage against the University of Northwestern Ohio. Despite several rain delays, we were able to finish out the game with a 1-0 win with the lone goal by Maya Ryder. After the game, we were graciously hosted for dinner at one of our freshmen, Kaelan Swallow’s home.

Kaelan Swallow
Kaelan Swallow
This season, we have six newcomers on our team, and each week, we want to introduce one of them to you all. First up is #44 Kaelan Swallow. Kaelan is a goalkeeper and mathematics major from Lima, Ohio. She brings a lot of fun energy to practice, but watch out because she is usually looking for the nearest teammate to nutmeg! A fun fact about Kaelan is that she once had a mouse get into her car. Her go-to midnight snack is pretzels or cheez-its. Welcome to the CUWS family Kaelan!

We have a big week coming up with a trip to Cleveland, Tennessee to play our first two matches against Carson-Newman and Lee University. We are looking forward to another road trip and to playing these two non-conference opponents that will be great preparation for us heading into G-MAC play. We would appreciate prayer throughout this season and especially on this first big away trip that we would start off strong and be able share Christ with those we interact with on and off the field.
