Welcome back to the last blog, Jacket fans!
We traveled up to Findlay, Ohio for the G-MAC Tournament (May 3-5), and coming in as the #4 seed we had really high hopes! One Day 1, we ended up losing to Findlay. It was a tough loss, but it helped fuel our fire for the next game against ODU.
Against ODU the next day, we definitely played our hearts out. We were tied 2-2 for most of the game and came out really strong with our pitching. We had several good hits, it just seemed we couldn’t get any of them to fall and ODU was having a really tough time against our pitching until the last at bat where they had a walk off hit to beat us 3-2. Overall, though we would have all loved to keep playing as long as we could, we did our best and this experience will only inspire us more for next season (ODU is going down!)
Looking back, here are some favorite memories from this past season:
PowerPoint night
Florida trip and playing games all night, plus enjoying being able to play together and make awesome memories with each other!
Getting to honor Soph and Rick on Senior Day
Doing well in conference play this season
Game of animal signs when one of our games was on a rain delay
Getting to pray with every team we played after the games
“Rocking the bus” at Findlay to intimidate them
Casey hitting herself with foul balls about 47 times
Faith getting hit by pitches also about 47 times!
Getting swole with Rex in the weight room
Honorable mentions: Texas Roadhouse at G-MAC, Mac’s annual Florida cornrows, Jerry educating us about nature, definitely not getting bonked by a truck in Nashville, and finally getting to spend time with each other all while doing what we love for the glory of God!
Devotional:
For the devotional this week I wanted to encourage everyone, especially our seniors, with Jeremiah 29:11. This is a very touching verse and I think it speaks a lot to the character of our God and shows us even more why we can trust Him even in the hardest and most complicated times in our lives. From the moment we were created, God has had a plan for all of us and as long as we trust and obey Him we will find satisfaction in the future and hope He provides us with!
Thank you seniors for a great season, and thank you family and friends for all your support of our team this season! We can’t wait to see you all again when we’re in action next spring, but until then have a wonderful summer and continue to keep our team in your prayers for things to come!
See ya on the flip side,
Emma

Welcome back everyone!
This past week was definitely one for the books! On Thursday we ended up splitting at Ohio Dominican who was ranked first in the G-MAC and then on Saturday we swept Malone on Senior Day! Saturday’s games were bittersweet for sure, but there is no doubt that our two seniors have left a lasting impact on our team that will last for years to come!
The past few weeks kept us all on our toes as to whether or not we would make the G-MAC Tournament, but this past week solidified our spot!
Here’s some of the great highlights that helped us secure the #4 seed in the G-MAC this past week:
1. Rick had three hits against ODU, one of them hitting the top of the fence almost going over (that would be the second time she has done this this year!)
2. Mac hit a triple in the second ODU game, and Dana scored her for the win with a base hit!
3. Addie helped us out in the second ODU game by throwing a three-hitter against one of the best hitting teams in our conference
4. Casey struck out 12 batters in the Malone game, coming extremely close to her career record
5. We got to honor our seniors as they walked around the bases one last time at home and had a great time together after the games with a cookout!
6. Addie matched her strikeout record with 11 in the second game, also helping us shutout Malone 8-0
7. Rick had three hits with two doubles, and Soph had two hits and two runs scored, a great day for the seniors!
8. Mac and Emily did awesome starting pitching, and relief pitching in the ODU games
9. Kaley figured out her swing, and is going to be hitting some bombs this week
10. We finally became internet famous with a whopping 175.5K views on a video
11. Lindsey’s boyfriend, Josh, is the new Assistant Drum Major for THE Ohio State Marching Band, and the team was very excited for this awesome accomplishment!
Devotional: This week has definitely been a lot for our team, and it will continue to be for some between finals, sports, and figuring out when we would have time to study or complete assignments. I just wanted to share I Thessalonians 5:11 as a reminder for us all to be encouraging to each other, and to build one another up as we make it through this last week! Once we are saved through Jesus, it is important to to always be building each other up to help one another succeed and to grow closer to Christ, just as Jesus is always pursuing us and helping us grow to be more like Him!

Senior Day!
April 26, 2023
Welcome back, everyone!
HAPPY SENIOR WEEK! It’s crazy that this season is approaching a close so quickly, it will definitely be a bittersweet time on Saturday.
This past week we took a trip to the Music City to play Trevecca, then hit Kentucky Wesleyan on the way home. The games were interesting, but our bus ride was the real standout! What was supposed to be a five-hour trip took 10, and on the way back a truck side-swiped us! We were all fine of course, but the hooligans that hit us were pretty upset, to say the least. Shout out to Angelo though, A.K.A the best bus driver for putting up with all the antics along the road!
Some highlights of our trip this past week:
1. Faith hit a home run in the 1st inning of the 1st game at Findlay!
2. Addie lost her PO streak when she had a base hit, followed by a home run against Kentucky Wesleyan!
3. We PR’d in our team effort of pre-game hacky-sack after all hope seemed lost
4. Dana completely robbed a home run at Trevecca, which they somehow counted as an error? Either way, it was a great play!
5. Casey had a triple, and Rick had two good hits against Trevecca
6. We mercy-ruled Kentucky Wesleyan in the 2nd game, 11-0
7. We got Chick-fil-A milkshakes at our hotel!
8. Kelly, a former CUSB alumni and long-time supporter was able to come and watch us this weekend, as well as share a sweet devotional with us Saturday morning.
Devotional:
The verse for the week is Philippians 4:6 -
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, through prayer and thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”. This verse is always relevant for everyone because we all struggle with anxieties and worries on a daily basis; that is just a part of being human. This verse reminds us that we can talk to God about anything and that He is there for us to lay our burdens upon. Being right in the midst of finals and graduation, it can be an extremely stressful time. Hopefully, this is a verse that will be in our hearts and we can apply it to help us through present and future stressful situations!
This week we will face the top G-MAC team, Ohio Dominican University in Columbus on Thursday; followed by Senior Day against Malone on Saturday. Hope to see you all there, and thank you for your endless support and prayers as we finish out this season strong!

Hey Everyone!
Lady Jackets at Walsh!
Last week was a beautiful week for some softball and we got to play four great games at home. On Tuesday we played Walsh and split, but it was two really good games with a competitive team. The first game was 9-4 and the second game we shut them down 4-0. On Saturday we played one of our big rivals, Ashland, and swept them! First game was 5-3 and the second game was 4-2.
All the games we played week were really fun and filled with lots of great plays and hits by our team, here’s a few to mention:
1. Kaley had four hits in our games against Walsh
2. We got to play a game of “animal signs” during the rain break at our first Walsh game
3. Dana had six hits in the two games against Ashland
4. Casey went 4-for-4 in the first game vs. Ashland
5. Rick and Kaley each delivered two-run doubles at perfect times during the second Ashland game
6. Emily came in for relief in the first game and helped us toward the win
7. In the second game Casey threw seven strike outs and had no walks
8. We are two wins away from having a .500 record and are 8-2 in the G-MAC
This week’s two truths and a lie:
1. Mariah’s dad is a rapper
2. Casey is afraid of horses
3. Faith was ran over by a forklift when she was two
The lie last week was that Faith has never changed her major, she has in fact changed it four times!
Devotion:
This week I really liked reading John 8:12. John sometimes is hard to believe that it is part of the Gospels because it has almost a completely different point of view and covers a different time line. John 8:12 is really good because it uses an “I am” statement, which further reveals to us the character of God. God says He is “the light of the world”, and whoever believes in Him will never walk in darkness. This verse means a lot to us today, but looking from a 1st century perspective we know that they couldn’t just flip a switch and turn on light, so knowing that with Jesus could be the light of their world forever was very impactful for them. This verse also shows us and the early believers how Jesus’ death on the cross could change their lives forever. God sent His son to die for our sins so that he could pay the price us as sinners never could, and with Jesus we could also become light to the world to shine for those who may not know Jesus.
Thanks as always for reading, we hope to see you all this week as we head to Indianapolis Wednesday to face UIndy, Friday when we face Northwood at home, or Saturday as we finish the week against Tiffin also at home!

Welcome back and happy Easter week!
This past week was unfortunate as far as weather and finding opportunities to play, but we were able to get in some rescheduled games against Hillsdale on Thursday. We ended up splitting with Hillsdale, game one was a 2-0 loss and game two was 4-2 win.
Looking ahead we still have Findlay and Wayne State scheduled for later on in the season, but this week we will be at home on Tuesday and Saturday facing Walsh and Ashland, respectively.
Despite only getting in two games this past week we still had a lot of highlights:
2023 Lady Jacket Softball!!
1. A beautiful couple days of practice earlier in the week on Monday and Wednesday
2. Having a home run derby on Wednesday at hitting practice
3. Playing “volleyball” at lifting
4. Casey and Addie both pitched through two awesome games with lots of high pressure scenarios, but they each found a way out of it
5. We got to meet “Echo” this week (Laura’s amazing therapy dog in training)
6. Kaley had a HUGE hit for us in the bottom of the 6th inning, which scored Jordan and put us in the lead for the second game
7. Faith made an amazing catch in left field that kept Hillsdale from scoring
8. And to finish off the week, Mack got engaged! So on behalf of the whole team, CONGRATS Mack and Caleb!
This week’s “2 Truths and a Lie”:
1. Faith has never changed her major
2. Soph is the same as Dora the Explorer
3. Emily has the most stinkyiest flame-throwing change up in the G-MAC
[
Answer to last weeks question: Cam did indeed bring scuba gear with her softball stuff]
Devotional: With Easter approaching, I wanted to remind everyone of John 11:25-26. This verse is so important because it reminds us of the hope we can have when we believe in Jesus. Whoever believes in Jesus will live even though their bodies may die - and all because Jesus DID die for us and WAS resurrected on that third day. Easter is all about what Jesus did for those who love Him, and it is all about the hope we can have when we choose to believe Jesus’ death and resurrection. This Easter season, I want to encourage everyone to really lean into this truth and share it with others - that Jesus died for YOU and no matter what you have done or haven’t done, there is a God who loves you so much that He sent His only son to die for you.
Have an awesome week everyone, and thanks you always for your endless support of our team!

Welcome back to another week!
This past week was a crazy one, we ended up playing our games on Tuesday and Wednesday instead of Friday and Saturday. It was a busy couple days, but we all made the most of the unexpected change and had a great time together! We finished out the two days with a 4-0 record, which makes us undefeated in conference! Now, if you got to come see the games this past week you were probably shocked! So many great things came out of the games and we really showed what we are capable of as a team.
Here’s a quick recap of all the awesome performances:
1. Faith hit two home runs in the first game against Ursuline
2. Rick hit another two home runs in the second game against Ursuline
3. We had a total of 14 RBI’s between the first two Ursuline games
4. Casey pitched two awesome games, one against Ursuline and one against Lake Erie
5. Mariah had a huge home run in the first game against Lake Erie, and Casey had a home run in each game!
6. Kaley shot a grand slam in the first game bringing us to 8 HOME RUNS in the four games we played!
7. Addie shut down a super tough inning for us in our last game of the series, with bases loaded and the tying run on third. Along with a great pitching performance leading up to that!
8. We definitely brought the energy throughout all four games, and it was a great environment to play in!
This week I thought it would be fun to start doing a “two truths and a lie” game…
1. Camryn brought scuba gear to practice
2. Jordan really hates her Geology class
3. Emma got lost in an underground subway station in Germany
Tune in next week to find out what the lie is!
Devotional:
This week I read Hebrews 12:1-2, which I thought was very fitting with the end of the semester and the trials that come with it quickly approaching. Verse one mentions that since there is a “cloud of witnesses” (likely referring to the saints of the OT who lived their lives by faith), we should lay down our weight and sin that is holding us back. This weight of sin is what holds us back sometimes from running this earthly race with endurance, but because Jesus created us and fulfilled His plan of dying on the cross to secure our faith we CAN keep running. I really liked the analogy of running the race as it was used in this verse. Especially for athletes, it can get really hard to keep up everything and finish out with endurance. However, this verse helps to remind us that we can do it because Jesus endured the cross and He is the anchor that we can latch onto when we are struggling or falling behind. As the song says, “Because He lives we can face tomorrow!”
This week we will take on Hillsdale (Thursday, 2PM) at home, and Findlay (Friday, 1 PM) at their place! Thanks for all your prayers and support, Hope to see you all at our games soon!
- Until next time, Emma

Hi everyone!
Welcome back to another week of Cedarville Softball! This past week was short and sweet with only two games against West Virginia State, our weekend games ended up canceled due to weather. Those two games were great refreshers nevertheless, as we swept WVSU 6-2 and 9-0 in five innings.
Some top moments from our two games:
Addie threw a one-hitter in the second game
Dana had five hits between the two games
We had 14 at-bats in just the first inning of the second game!
Rick taught us her new “sound”
Faith and Kaley both had two hits, with multiple RBI’s in the second game
Casey not only struck out seven in the first game but also had a three-run triple in the first game
We all did a great job of bringing the energy and keeping it throughout both games
Devotional:
I read something recently that caught my attention about sharing the Gospel with others. We all are aware of the great commission in Matthew 28:19-20, to go to all the nations and make disciples. This is very true, and as born-again Christians, it is our responsibility to go out and share the Gospel. Sometimes, being caught up in the business of life, we don’t take all the opportunities we have to share the Gospel with others. Even though Matt. 28 says to go to all the nations, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t people in our own lives who don’t know Jesus. With Easter approaching, we have even more opportunities to invite others to church, speak about what Jesus is doing in our lives, or to share what Jesus did on the cross for us then how He rose after the third day. As it has been famously stated, “Every heart without Christ is a mission field; every heart with Christ is a missionary.” I think this is something that Christians should remember, and work to act upon daily.
A shorter blog this week, but as always thanks for reading, and keep us in your prayers as we play Ursuline College (in Berea, OH) and Lake Erie College (in Mentor, OH) for four great games this week!
Catch you next time!

Welcome back, everyone!
A pre-game pic!
I am happy to say we all made it home safely from Florida, and although it is always nice to get out of Ohio winter and enjoy some warm weather, I think we are all glad to be back and excited to finish out the rest of the semester strong. If you were keeping up with our games in Florida, you know it did not go how we all wanted it to. It seemed like pretty much nothing went our way this past week, if someone hit a ball it went directly to the fielder’s glove, we seemed to get no close calls in our favor, and the strike zones seemed really wonky for our pitchers.
All these things are extremely frustrating, especially when our goal was to go undefeated in Florida and we worked all year towards that. Even though it was a hard week, it was a good lesson for us all and a reality check to get us all back in the right mind set and ready to do whatever it takes to improve for each other.
Despite the tough games, we still had a great time with each other on and off the field, here are some of our favorite moments from the trip:
Kaley "cornrowing" Mac's
hair for Gameday
1. Beating Cal PA because they were one of the only games we lost last year in Florida
2. Continuous brownies, ice cream, and Rice Krispies at the team house for dessert
3. Laura (our trainer) absolutely full sending it and jumping in the pool TWICE!
4. Watching Hunger Games and discovering that Cam is the only team Gayle person (we all know Peeta is the only right choice)
5. Rick getting bonked in the stomach by Casey’s 47th foul ball
6. Celebrating Coach Kaylyn’s 25th birthday with gluten-free brownies and ice cream (her real present is now being allowed to drive us around in the rental vans)
7. Mariah demonstrated her fire bunt skills, Kaley eventually getting some hits to fall after hitting shots directly at people
8. Jerry (Jordan Berry) survived her first plane trip, and Addie survived her second
9. Many of us got to practice our “Australian accents” this week
10. We discovered the sad and shocking news that Dana is only a “middle brownie” person
Overall, it was great just to get to spend time with each other and with other teams. In the end, whether we lost or won every game the thing that will matter the most is the impact we have on others for Christ. Softball became our mechanism of ministry while we were in Florida, and I have no doubt many lives were touched this week. After each game, we were given the opportunity to pray with the other team and their coaches, the prayer was led by one of our team members. I wanted to give a shout out to everyone who prayed this week since it can be tough to speak in front of so many other people, but I am proud of everyone and I know our coaches and family are too for taking the opportunities to share Christ with others.
Some of God's beautiful artwork!
Again, thank you to everyone who came to support us this past week! All our supporters keep us going, and we hope to see you again at our freezing games this week! We will play Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday facing West Virginia State, Saginaw Valley State, and Grand Valley State to kick off our home games.
See you soon!
-Emma

Hello from the Sunshine State everyone!
We made it safely here and are so excited to be back in Florida to "dominate in the name of Jesus"!
This past week in practice we were able to get outside and use our field for the first time this Spring season, it is always so refreshing to play and practice softball on dirt (like it is meant to be played) instead of indoors!
We traveled to Columbus airport on Sunday afternoon and arrived in Florida that evening. It is always an exciting time going to the airport with a group of about 16 girls. All you can expect is the unexpected. Cam showed up looking like a model since she said she could not fit that outfit in her suitcase, we all felt a little bit intimidated by all the bodybuilders leaving the Arnold Classic event, Casey and Rick, unfortunately, got no Chili’s, Starbucks ran out of coffee, and Addie survived her second flight among many other shenanigans! We were thrilled when we arrived at our house in Kissimmee and woke up the following morning ready to go and play some ball!
Monday went pretty well overall, we won our first game with Casey pitching a great game and our bats staying hot, no wonder since it was 87 degrees! In the second game, we battled until the end, but came a little too short. For Tuesday we struggled some with getting our hits to go somewhere else besides the other team’s gloves. It was really good to see all of our pitchers do well, despite some struggles along the way, sometimes you just have to pitch strikes and let your defense back you up. The main thing is that we focus on what we need to do to keep getting better because we have a lot of ball left for the rest of the week!
Devotional:
The devotional this week comes from Romans 5:3-5. This is such a wonderful verse, and I think it really speaks to everyone because everybody struggles at some point in their lives. As Christians, the Bible tells us we will suffer and face persecution from the world because Jesus did too. Paul is telling us here that because we suffer, we gain endurance and ultimately hope in the Holy Spirit. When we focus on that hope, many things that we may be struggling with tend to fade as we start prioritizing Christ in our life over other distractions.
That’s all for now folks! Thanks to everyone who has been praying for us and to our parents and friends who made the long trip to Florida to support us. We love you!
Don’t forget to tune in next week for final updates about Florida and some “behind the scenes” pictures!
See ya next week!

Welcome back, everyone!
Shenigans at the Home Depot
while traveling!
This past weekend was a lot of fun, and we all improved from the previous week’s performance in Nashville. We ended up going 2-2 overall, with a great third game against McKendree. We had a tough loss to them in Nashville, so it was fun to be in such a close game with them this weekend. We had a ton of great things happen this weekend, with too many to list but I’ll name a few:
1. Casey Bertke pitched a one-hitter in the secnd game vs. Notre Dame College with a career-high 13 strikeouts!
2. Camryn Taktak was a complete UNIT, blocking all but two balls out of four games (and those balls took crazy hops anyway)
3. Mariah Wallace had a grand slam in the third game!
4. Arica Flaugher is un-concussed and got to play her first official senior games!
5. Kaley Clark had several good hits and doubled to score the winning run vs. Davenport
6. Emily Blake threw a great game, helping us secure the win against Davenport
GAME TIME!
7. Mackenzie Russell also threw some fire, striking out seven batters in eight innings pitched
8. Faith Bergner is currently leading our team with hit-by-pitches
9. Dana Bertke is tearing it up in the batter’s box and base paths with lots of hits and stolen bases
10. Lenny came to cheer us on again!
11. And I finished up indoor track at the G-MAC meet this past weekend and am excited to get to join my team for Florida and the rest of the season!
Devotional:
In light of this being a busy week for everyone with midterms and Florida games coming up, I wanted to talk about II Chronicles 15:7 -
“But as for you be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” It is really hard to find a balance between all the work that comes from being a student-athlete, and everything we do in between. I find this verse especially comforting because it is written during post-exile times and was meant to encourage and remind the Israelites of the character of their God. We know our God never goes back on His promises, He didn’t then, and He won’t now. So, even whenever we are feeling beat down and tired, we should be leaning into God even closer and remember that our hard work will pay off!
Thanks so much for reading everyone, and please keep our team in your prayers as we are traveling to Florida and the 80+ degree weather on Sunday for The Spring Games!
See ya on the flip side!

Welcome back Lady Jacket fans!
4 games down, and about 50 more to go!
Pre-game team photo in the arctic weather!
This past weekend ended up being somewhat disappointing for us, but it’s an opportunity for us to see what we need to do to improve and how we can help each other succeed and reach our big goals for later on in the season.
On Friday we went 0-2, losing against McKendree and against Illinois Springfield. Saturday, things started looking up as we started off strong with the W against Missouri S&T, followed by a loss vs. Wisconsin Parkside.
The great thing about softball is that even when things don’t look the prettiest on the stats page, there is still always something worth highlighting, so I present to you
“The Highlight Reel”:
Lenny -
Casey and
Dana's dog!
Faith enjoying
the first
strawberry of
the season!
- Kaley Clark made a pretty awesome diving catch in the outfield
- Casey Bertke pitched a great third game
- We got to have Culver’s on the way home
- The freshmen played their first college games of the spring season
- Arica Flaugher cheered really well, even though she had a concussion
- Dana Bertke tore it up in the batter’s box
- Addie Ziehmer had several good picks at first
- Camryn Taktak had an awesome performance, catching all four games as a rookie
- And Lenny traveled the long distance to Nashville to cheer us on
- Faith also enjoyed the first strawberry of the season
This week in practice we are working on bringing things back to our initial core principles that we all agreed on back in August; Positivity in mind set, consistency in actions, and spiritual growth in Christ. We are heading into another four-game series this weekend in Evansville, IN. We will be facing McKendree and Missouri S&T again, with some new faces like Notre Dame College (OH) and Davenport. Despite the rough start, I believe we will come out this weekend with a new and fresh outlook and be ready to win some games and have fun while doing it!

Devotional:
The weekly devotion is going to be from I John 4:12, this is our team verse for the year and very fitting for this week. The verse is talking about how if we love one another, even though no one has ever seen God, He abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. This is such an awesome demonstration of God’s character and the infinite love He has for each of us. This verse shows us that everyone was created by God in His image, and when we love one another well it only magnifies God’s love and power in our own lives for others all around us to see.

Here we go Jacket fans!!!
Welcome back to an all-new season of CU softball! My name is Emma Bailey and I am absolutely thrilled to be your blogger for this season! Just some quick info about me, I am a sophomore Nursing major and am a catcher/third baseman. I am also a thrower on the track team, which might explain some of my “unique” perspectives coming up in the blog.
Lindsey Linker
For this new season, we have five new freshmen joining us, and two seniors making their last go-around with CUSB. I believe some introductions are in order…
For the first time ever, we have
Lindsey Linker (our very own “Onceler”), an outfielder/second baseman from Gahanna, OH. She is majoring in Nursing and says she is looking forward to all the time she will get to spend with her teammates during practice, games, and traveling.
Jordan Berry
Next up we have
Jordan Berry (AKA Jerry), she is a utility player from St. Louis, MO. Jordan is an Environmental Science major and says she is excited about spending time with the team. Her favorite thing about CU softball is how close and comfortable our team is with each other.
Dana Bertke
Next is
Dana Bertke, better known as Lenny’s lover (Lenny is our honorary team mascot if you see him at a game don’t be afraid to go introduce yourself and shake his paw). Dana is an outfielder and a Psychology major from Cardington, OH; she says the thing she is most looking forward to is traveling and making memories with her team while doing the sport she loves. One of Dana’s favorite things about CU softball is the Christ-centered atmosphere and playing with others who push her in her faith.
Camryn Taktak
Our fourth freshman is
Camryn Taktak, a Life Science major with a focus on Secondary Education. Cam is a catcher and third baseman from Batavia, OH; she says she is looking forward to playing with her teammates and hopefully winning conference. Her favorite thing about CU softball is how everyone can have a good time together while still being serious and getting better at the sport we all love. She also is thankful to be surrounded by so many talented players who push each other to get better.
Abigail McIntosh
Last but not least, we have
Abigail McIntosh, a catcher/outfielder from Canal Winchester, OH. Abbi’s major is Mechanical Engineering (and she blows our minds every day with this fact). Abbi says she is looking forward to the Florida trip, and that her favorite thing about CUSB is the people and community she gets to spend time with each day!
Moving on to our seniors, we first have
Arica Flaugher (A.K.A Rick, Richard, and sometimes African Flower), Rick is a Special Education major and is looking forward to having home games this season. She says that she is thankful for CUSB because she has gotten to live out her dream of playing college softball, and she is even more thankful for the lifelong friends and relationships she has formed with teammates, coaches, and athletic training along the way!
WE LOVE YOU, RICK!!!
Our next senior is
Sophia Hevel (A.K.A Soph or Dora), she is a Nursing major and says she is looking forward to traveling, having fun with her teammates, and WINNING! Soph says one thing she has learned over her time with CUSB is the importance of not putting your identity in sports, but rather in Christ because he is the only everlasting source of joy.
WE LOVE YOU, SOPH!!!
We are looking forward to our long-awaited first games of the season this Friday and Saturday as we travel to Nashville, TN for the Music City Invitational! Friday we play McKendree and Illinois Springfield, game times are 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Saturday we take on Missouri S&T then Wisconsin Parkside at noon and 2:00 PM sharp. Be there or be square!
Please keep our team in your prayers this season and this weekend as we travel and have opportunities to show the love of Christ to those who may not know it. Wishing luck to our seniors for this season, it’s going to be an AWESOME year! Big things are coming!
Until next week,
Emma Bailey
Emma Bailey is a sophomore Dean's List student as a nursing major from Wheelersburg, Ohio. She is in her second season as a catcher/third baseman with the Lady Jackets.
