Hello everyone!

The season for our team has officially ended. The last meet the Lady Jackets competed at was in Ashland, Ohio in the G-MAC Outdoor Championship. The Lady Jackets took 6th out of 13 teams. They all did well and as far as anyone can tell they all had a blast. The competition was high but so was the Lady Jacket’s enthusiasm! Savannah Ackley took the title in the 5,000 meters at this meet. She looked great!

It was encouraging to see all the support in whatever we did. The weather was beautiful, too!

Thank you for reading the women’s track & field blog this semester! It truly was a blast being able to share a little glimpse of what we do and who we are!

Go Jackets!

Welcome back to the blog!

This last Friday the Lady Jackets competed at the Otterbein Twilight. This was the last track meet for some of the ladies who will not compete in the G-MAC in two weeks. Although this was the last for some, all of the Lady Jackets gave their all. We took first place overall (so did our boys!) For those not continuing they competed well.

It was a long day! We left the track meet well after 10 p.m. I forgot to mention that if you would like to see the results for the meet, you can go to Cedarville’s Women's Track & Field page and find the results. It’s been an amazing season and I’m so glad I’ve been able to share a little glimpse of what it is like with you!

We only have one meet left and that is in Ashland, Ohio at the G-MAC Championship. This is May 3rd-5th which is also finals week. Pray that we can finish the academic and athletic year right!

Until next time! Catch you later!!

Hello Fans!

This last weekend was a blast! The Lady Jackets competed at the Tiffin Track Carnival in Tiffin, Ohio. There were so many great performances along with a whole bunch of cheering teammates. Friends, one word that described this meet is HOT. I’m pretty sure we all left a little sun kissed.

Not only was the weather amazing, so were the Lady Jackets. Many ladies beat their PR or came close. One special announcement....Haleigh Eckert got the school record!!! For those who don’t know she is a phenomenal pole vaulter and vaulted a 3.95 meters this last Friday. She is also a provisional qualifier! Great job Haleigh!

What a great meet to be a part of and I can’t wait to tell you guys about the Friday and Saturday meet at the Jesse Owens Classic in Columbus, Ohio!

Thanks for reading! Catch you later!

Hello Readers!

This year has been a blast so far! The Lady Jackets are improving every meet! This past meet was held in Tennessee at the Lee Flames Invitational. This is a qualifying meet so not all the Lady Jackets went but the ones that did, competed well. Something huge happened at this meet....Savannah Ackley beat the school record in the 10,000 meters!!!! She ran a 34.57.13 and beat the previous program record by 0.94 seconds! Couldn’t be more proud of this girl!

There were other amazing accomplishments like Hannah Willow placing second in the high jump and Sarah Hannay reaching the third best throw in school history in the hammer throw. To read about all of the awesome accomplishments see the results for this meet on our website!

With only four more weeks left, the Lady Jackets are staying strong.

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to the Women’s Track & Field blog! I am excited to catch you up on what's been happening these past few weeks. The past couple of weeks we have been preparing for the outdoor season.

This past Saturday, we hosted a meet here at Cedarville. If you were not there, let me tell you a little about it. This past weekend had some crazy weather! There was rain, wind, sun, and even some lightning! All of those who competed definitely had another hurdle to go over :) Even with the interesting weather, the Lady Jackets competed well. We had many Lady Jackets place and give their complete all.

We are thankful for all of you who came out and supported the team! We definitely saw and heard you! This was a great meet for starting outdoor season and we cannot wait to take you on our journey for the next couple weeks.

This coming weekend the Lady Jackets will be competing at the Centre Invitational in Danville, Kentucky.

Hello! Welcome back to the blog!

The Lady Jackets have so much information to share with you! This past weekend the Lady Jackets competed in the G-MAC Indoor Championship in Ashland, Ohio. This was a great time for the Lady Jackets to show off what they have been training for all season. Although this was the last meet for a lot of the girls, everyone did a great job competing.

A lot of the Lady Jackets made the podium and we were ranked third overall bringing in 98.5 points in the Championship.

This year we had six NCAA DII provisional qualifying marks! These girls were Nora Hagan (who broke her own school record again in the 60 meters!), Audrianna Enns in the mile, Savannah Ackley in the 3K, Bethany Sholl in the 3K, Britain Musick in the 60 meter hurdles, and our DMR team!

Indoor season has been a blast with the Lady Jackets! Most of the girls are done running and will train for outdoor season coming up next!

Until next time!

The Lady Jackets chillin' at Wittenberg!

Not only did we look good, we fought a good fight! The Lady Jackets came in first in the 4 x 400, 200 meters, 800 meters, one mile, high jump, and pole vault. All the Lady Jackets competed well and left everything on the track, mat, pit, or floor.

This week the Lady Jackets are preparing for the G-MAC Indoor Championship. They will compete Friday and Saturday at Ashland University.

Thanks for checking in on us! We cannot wait to compete and come back next week with more awesome stats!

The Doden Field House was packed with athletes and fans! Just about every couple minutes you could see the Lady Jackets running, throwing, or jumping! The Lady Jackets ended up placing first overall with a total of 155 points. The girls worked hard on Friday and we had multiple appearances on the podium on Saturday! This was a meet to be at for sure!

This past Friday was a great meet for so many of the girls! February 3rd was our home track meet at Cedarville! Friday was a busy day for a lot of us because we still had classes in the morning. Even though it was a school day we came out with fire!

First and foremost, Savannah Ackley got a school record with a time of 9:45 in the 3000 meters!! This was a race to watch especially because the Lady Jackets took first, second, and third! It gets better, we had even more Lady Jackets working just as hard! The Lady Jackets pulled up first in high jump, shot put, the 200 meters, the 60 meters, the 400 meters, the 800 meters, the mile (we took first through seventh place!!!), the 3000 meters, and the 4 x 400 meter relay (I will say we CLOSED the gap)!

It was nice being on our own turf and surrounded by friends and family!

This week the Lady Jackets are at home again! If you missed last Friday, come out for the NCCAA National Championships on Friday (3 PM) and Saturday (9AM)!

Thanks for reading and we’ll catch you later!

And now to the good stuff...we have had a great season so far! On December 3rd, the Lady Jackets opened at Wittenberg and took first in the weight throw, pole vault, shot put, 60 meter hurdles, 400 meters, and the 200 meters. Incredible!

This past Saturday we were back at Wittenberg and crushed it again! The ladies took first place in the 60 meters, 200 meters, 800 meters, and shot put! Not only did we have some first place winners, our girls weren’t making competition any easier coming in right after! We are up for a good year! I can’t wait to join you on the journey!

Thanks for reading and I’m so excited to share how we do this Friday, February 3 at home in next week’s blog!!
