Biography
Erik Johnson returns for his third season in the Yellow Jacket cross country program.....ran in four varsity meets during his sophomore campaign.....posted a career-best 8K mark of 27:34 at the Friendship Invitational to finish 51st.....placed 93rd of 281 in the NCCAA Nationals in 27:55.....18th in the G-MAC Championship in 28:37.....distance runner during the track & field season.
2011 - Appeared in five varsity meets as a freshman.....best time was 29:17 at the Friendship Invitational.....competed in the 800 meters during the indoor and outdoor track seasons.
High School - Ran two years of cross country earning two letters at Bible Baptist High School.....district championship qualifier as a junior and senior.....four-year letter winner in track & field.....state qualifier in the 400 and 800.....member of two-time league championship squad.....four-year letter winner in soccer and twice named all-conference.....part of league title team.....played in the Senior All-Star Game.....played four years of basketball with two letters.
Personal - Journalism major at Cedarville University.....born 6/9/93 in Port Jefferson, NY.....son of Kurt and Joanne Johnson.....older brother, Greg, is a senior distance runner at CU.....also has a younger brother.
