Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Joshua Perez is a third-year distance runner with the Yellow Jackets.....appeared in three meets during sophomore campaign.....G-MAC Second Team placing 14th in 27:32 to help CU win its fourth straight title.....distance runner on the track.....G-MAC Outdoor First Team after winning the 3,000 meter steeplechase.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2014 - Competed in five cross country meets as a freshman.....best 8K time was 26:58 which placed 35th of 173 at Carnegie Mellon.....distance runner during the track & field seasons.....G-MAC Indoor Third Team by finishing 3rd in the mile run.....G-MAC Freshmen Team both indoors and outdoors.

High School - Four-year letter winner in cross country at C.W. Baker High School.....picked up all-league, all-division, and all-section honors in cross country.....member of two-time conference champions.....achieved five letters in indoor and outdoor track & field.....three-time section champion indoors and one time outdoors.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a geology major at Cedarville University.....born 11/14/95 in Baldwinsville, NY.....son of Russell Perez and Kristin Perez.....married on Aug. 1, 2015 to wife, Nicole Watterud, who is a distance runner with the Lady Jackets.....has one younger brother and three younger sisters.
