Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Joshua Wiseman is in his fourth season with the Yellow Jacket cross country program.....finished among the team’s top seven finishers in all five varsity meets in which he participated as a junior.....posted a career-best 8K time of 26:24 at the Friendship Invitational to place 23rd of 178 competitors.....ended up 58th of 255 at the NAIA Great Lakes Invitational in 27:01.....three-time NAIA Indoor All-American on the track in the 3K after finishing as the runner-up.....NAIA Outdoor All-American in the 5K walk for the third straight year.....three-time American Mideast Conference champion in the event.....participated in the 2010 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 20K walk.

2008 - Participated in seven varsity meets and finished among the team’s top seven runners six times.....posted a season-best time of 26:44 at the NAIA Great Lakes Invitational which placed 65th of 228 competitors.....crossed the line in 26:46 to finish 19th in the Cedarville Open.....finished 11th in the Friendship Invitational in 26:49.....NAIA national indoor track champion in the 3,000 meter race walk with a school-record time of 12:39.88.....repeated as NAIA Outdoor All-American in the 5K walk with a 4th-place showing.....won AMC 5K walk for second straight year.

2007 - Ran in five varsity meets as a freshman.....placed 38th of 127 runners at the NAIA Region IX Championship with a season-best effort of 27:52.....clocked in 27:55 at the Cedarville Invitational.....team’s #5 runner and finished 40th of 191 at the Southeast Classic in 28:03.....outstanding rookie track season in the race walk.....NAIA Indoor All-American placing 3rd in the 3K walk.....AMC champion in the 5K walk.....NAIA Outdoor All-American in the event by finishing 5th.

High School - Participated in cross country during three seasons at Shawnee High School with two letters earned.....All-Central Buckeye Conference First Team runner as a senior in 2005.....achieved all-county, all-district, and all-region recognition.....member of team that claimed the CBC, Clark County, and district championships.....squad placed 3rd in the region and 8th in the state.....team captain.....earned two letters in three seasons of track & field competition.....team captured 2006 county and conference championships.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a mechanical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 8/26/87 in Athens, OH.....son of Charles and Rebecca Wiseman.....has two younger sisters and younger twin brothers.
