Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Kevin Kuhn wraps up his career with the Yellow Jackets as one of six seniors on the roster.....finished six varsity meets in 2007 and was among CU’s top four each time out.....recorded a career-best time in the 8K of 26:29 at the NCCAA Championship to place 20th.....placed 13th in the NAIA Region IX Championship in 26:36 to grab All-AMC Second Team honors.....Cedarville Open runner-up in 26:34.....excelled on the track repeating as the AMC 3,000 meter steeplechase champion (9:28.40).....NCCAA indoor 800 meter champion.....also an NCCAA All-American in the indoor mile.....NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2006 - Saw action in seven out of eight varsity meets during sophomore season.....posted a season-best time of 26:30 at the AMC/NAIA Region IX Championship to place 20th overall.....finished 13th of 129 competitors in the Cedarville Invitational in 26:52.....produced an exceptional track & field campaign in the steeplechase.....placed 4th at the NAIA Championship for All-America honors with a career-best time of 9:11.33.....NCCAA national champion (9:32.77) and AMC champion (9:32.80) in the event.....also won the steeple at the Miami Invitational and Baylor Invitational running against NCAA Division I competition.

2005 - Ran in five varsity meets as a freshman.....ran a season-low 27:01 at the Cedarville Invitational placing 41st of 122 competitors.....CU’s #7 runner at the Southeastern Classic with a time of 27:08.....enjoyed a notable rookie track season.....NCCAA Indoor All-American in the 800 meters with a season-best time of 1:58.18 and was part of national title team.....NCCAA steeplechase runner-up with a season-best performance of 9:36.92 for All-America honors.....member of 4 x 800 meter relay squad that finished 3rd.....AMC steeplechase runner-up in 9:43.51.....qualified for the NAIA Nationals in the event.

High School - Assembled an outstanding distance running career at Cedarville High School prior to becoming a Yellow Jacket.....two-time All-Ohio Heritage Conference cross country performer and was the league individual champion as a senior.....went on to place 20th in the Ohio Division III meet.....two-time all-area selection.....member of Miami Valley Track Club cross country squad that placed 3rd in the nation in the Junior Olympics.....Ohio Division III state runner-up in the 800 meters on the track as a senior with a school-record time of 1:55.55.....district and regional champion in the event.....two-time OHC champion in both the 800 and 1,600 meters.....member of two conference championship teams.....invited to participate in the prestigious Midwest Meet of Champions.....helped state of Ohio to the team title by running the third leg on the victorious 4 x 800 meter relay team that turned in a winning time of 7:40.61.....Junior Olympics 2,000 meter steeplechase national runner-up.....Academic All-Ohio in both cross country and track.....National Honor Society student.
