Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Ryan Gustafson is in his fourth season with the Yellow Jackets and one of the team’s top returnees.....appeared in seven varsity meets as a junior and was among CU’s first seven finishers each time.....posted a career-best 8K mark of 25:28 to place 5th in the Friendship Invitational.....31st of 301 runners in the All-Ohio in 25:30.....placed 7th in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference for first team honors.....finished 41st in the Midwest Regional in 32:13 for the 10K.....distance runner on the track team.

2011 - Outstanding sophomore campaign.....one of only two runners to compete in all seven varsity races and was in the team’s top seven each time.....repeated as an NCCAA All-American by placing 12th of 209 runners in a season-best time of 26:22.....finished 7th of 95 in the Friendship Invitational in 26:25.....ended up 90th of 310 in the All-Ohio Championship in 26:45.....ran the middle distances during the indoor and outdoor track seasons.

2010 - Produced a solid rookie season.....NCCAA All-American for national title team placing 8th in 26:51.....season-best time was 26:21 at the NAIA Great Lakes Invitational to finish 65th of 313.....NCCAA Outdoor All-American on the track in the 4 x 800.....member of AMC champion 4 x 800 squad that qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Championship.....NAIA indoor qualifier in the mile.

High School - Competed in track and cross country during his prep career at Cary-Grove High School.....two-year letter winner in cross country.....earned all-region and all-conference honors.....member of two-time conference championship program.....earned two letters in track & field.

Personal - Geology major at Cedarville University.....born 10/7/91 in Arlington Heights, IL.....son of Grant and Marian Gustafson.....has one older brother.
