Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Ben Mounts is in his second and final season with the Yellow Jackets after transferring from Cornerstone University.....played in all ten events and rated third on the team with a 79.79 average per 18 holes.....tied for Shawnee State Invitational runner-up honors at 73-76-149.....opening round at SSU was career-best.....tied 3rd at CU Fall Invitational with 80-38-118.....tied for 16th in the American Mideast Conference at 79-78-79-236.....shot 80 or lower 13 times.....member of Student Athletic Advisory Committee.....NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2006-08 - Played two seasons of golf at Cornerstone from 2006 through 2008.....worked his way into the top five averaging 81.2 in his second season.....turned in a career-low 74 at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree.

High School - Four-year letter winner in golf at Shawnee High School.....served as a team captain for three years.....two-time All-Central Buckeye Conference performer.....registered personal-bests of one-under par 34 for nine holes and one-over par 71 for 18.....lowest season average was 39.0 per nine holes.....member of All-Clark County Tournament Team as a senior.....named to the Springfield News-Sun All-Area Team his final year.....member of two CBC championship squads.

Personal - Dean’s List student as an adolescent young adult social studies major at Cedarville University.....born 12/8/87 in Springfield, OH.....son of Dr. Eric and Andrea Mounts.....both parents are graduates of Cedarville College and father is school’s all-time leading scorer in basketball.....older brother, Caleb, is a 2009 graduate of the University.....younger sister, Abbey, is a sophomore at CU.
