Zach Brown accepted the role of head men's golf coach at Cedarville University in May, 2014. He is the ninth coach in the history of the program which was started in 1961 and is one of the athletic department's oldest.

Brown guided the Yellow Jackets to a third-place finish at the 2015 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship. He was voted the G-MAC Men’s Golf Coach of the Year.

Brown’s first team featured senior Jacob Forsythe, who was presented the prestigious NCCAA Game Plan 4 LIFE Character Award. Five of his golfers were named to the G-MAC Academic Team.

A native of Mason, Ohio and an assistant on the men’s basketball coaching staff, Brown produced a notable two-year career with the Yellow Jackets after transferring from NCAA Division I Lipscomb. He started all 63 games at CU with 676 points scored and 253 assists during the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons.

Brown helped lead the 2012 squad to the NCCAA Division I national championship. He also sparked the 2013 club to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference title.

Brown was voted to the All-NCCAA Midwest Region Team and the G-MAC First Team. He was a two-time NCCAA Scholar-Athlete and was selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District® Team.

Brown is a 2013 graduate of the University with a degree in early childhood education. He earned a master’s in coaching and athletic administration at Concordia University (Calif.) in 2015.
