Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Dan Atkeson is in his fourth and final season as part of the Yellow Jacket golf program.....sports a 78.39 career scoring average which rates 9th all-time at Cedarville.....played in eight events as a junior averaging 79.82 over 17 rounds which ranked fifth on the team.....turned in a season-best 73 in the second round of the Shawnee State Invitational.....shot 78-73 for a season-low 151 at SSU to assist the Jackets in winning the team title.....tied for 12th at Bethel (Ind.) with 78-76-154.

2007-08 - Played in the #2 position as a sophomore averaging 77.67 strokes per 18 holes.....carded a career-best one-under par 71 in the opening round of the Huntington Invitational.....followed that round with a 78 for a career-best 36-hole score of 149.....shot 78-75 to tie for 12th at the Mount Vernon Nazarene Invitational.....tied for 17th at the AMC Championship with rounds of 77-75-78 for a 230 total.

2006-07 - Ranked fourth on the squad during his freshman season with a 77.95 scoring.....carded a season-best 74 four times all in the second round of tournaments at the NCCAA Nationals, Shawnee State, Mount Vernon Nazarene, and Cedarville.....tied for 6th at the MVNU Invitational with a 152 total (78-74).....totaled a season-low 36-hole score of 151 (77-74) at the Cedarville Invitational to tie for 7th individually and help the Yellow Jackets to the team title.....shot 80 or lower in 19 of 21 rounds.

High School - Produced an outstanding career at Big Walnut High School.....four-year letter winner for the Golden Eagles.....two-time All-Ohio Capital Conference First Team selection.....averaged 74.4 strokes per 18 holes with six medalist honors as a senior.....posted a 9-hole average of 36.3.....carded a school-record 67 as a sophomore at the Apple Valley Golf Club which is the course where CU plays in the annual AMC Championship.....member of Big Walnut's 2002 Ohio Division II state championship team.....two-time Player of the Year in the Heart-of-Ohio Junior Golf series.....graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a business management major at Cedarville University.....born 6/15/88 in Massillon, OH....son of Mark and Susan Atkeson.....has one younger brother.
