Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

John Stonkus is back for his fourth season with the Yellow Jackets and is one of two seniors on the roster.....averaged 83.92 strokes per 18 holes as a junior.....sports an 83.06 career average.....turned in a 76-80-156 at the NCAA Regional #4.....tied for 20th in the 32nd Annual Cedarville Invitational at 77-84-161.....opened the schedule with 84-82-166 at Georgetown.

2011-12 - Came on strong at the end of his sophomore season to average 83.82 strokes per 18 holes.....averaged 75 in his final three rounds.....played 11 total rounds in six events.....finished the campaign with a career-best 74 in the Ohio Independent Championship.....shot 75-74-149 to place sixth.....tied for third in the 31st Annual Cedarville Invitational with 86-76-162.

2010-11 - Averaged 80.89 as a freshman playing nine rounds in five tournaments.....tied for 37th at Muskingum with a season-low 36-hole total of 75-80-155.....tied for 18th at Shawnee State with 75-83-158.....tied for 12th at Mount Vernon Nazarene with a 79.

High School - Four-year letter winner in golf at Wilmington Christian High School.....earned all-state honors as a senior.....four-time all-conference first team performer on the links.....four-time Team MVP.....averaged under 40 strokes per 9 holes all four years including a career-best 38.2 as a junior.....three-year letter winner in soccer and twice named Team MVP.....selected to the all-conference first team as a junior and senior and to the second team as a sophomore.
