Biography
Trent Roach is a fourth-year golfer for the Yellow Jackets.....played in six events as a junior producing an 18-hole average of 81.70.....best score of the season was final round of Ohio Dominican/Otterbein Classic at 81-78-76 for a 235 total.....shot 77-77-154 to tie for 9th at Shawnee State.....NAIA and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.
2008-09 - Ranked third on the team in scoring as a sophomore with a 78.09 average.....one of four players to compete in all 22 rounds of ten tournaments.....earned medalist honors at the Bethel (Ind.) Classic after shooting 73-76-149 and winning a one-hole playoff.....Shawnee State Invitational runner-up with personal best 18 and 36-hole totals of 71-73 for an even par 144 result.....tied for 16th in the American Mideast Conference Championship (73-84-76-233) and tied for 18th at NCCAA Nationals (78-76-154).
2007-08 - Played every round of all ten tournaments as a rookie.....ranked fourth on the team with a 78.93 scoring average.....shot 80 or better in 14 rounds.....carded a season-low 74 at the NCCAA Nationals, Cedarville Invitational, and AMC Championship.....best 36 holes was 76-76-152 which tied for 9th place at the Mount Vernon Nazarene Classic.
High School - Produced an outstanding prep career as a four-year letter winner.....played his last three seasons at Concord High School.....led the team in nine-hole scoring average as a senior (37.7) and junior (39.2).....set the school nine-hole record with a four-under par 32 during senior season.....helped lead Concord to the 2007 state tournament where he tied for 15th individually with rounds of 75-74 for a 149 total.....guided squad to Northern Lakes Conference championship and achieved All-NLC First Team recognition.....averaged 35.5 in conference play.....named to the All-NLC Academic Team.....medalist at the DeKalb Invitational and Leo Invitational.....placed second in the conference tournament, third in the sectional, and third in the regional.....member of 2005 sectional championship team.....2006 Bent Oak Golf Club champion carding a 64 in the championship match and was the 2007 runner-up.....high school classmate of fellow CU golfer Nick Bigler.....played his first season of prep golf at Elkhart Christian Academy where he carded a school-record 34.....National Honor Society student.
Personal - Dean’s Honor List student as an accounting and finance major at Cedarville University.....born 12/27/88 in Alpharetta, GA.....son of Duane and Becky Roach.....older brother, Travis, is a 2007 graduate of the University and was a four-year golfer with the Yellow Jackets.
