Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

James Twinem is back for his fourth season as one of the Yellow Jackets’ most experienced players.....enters the campaign sixth in assists all-time at CU with 22 to go along with 20 career goals.....assembled an outstanding junior season ranking second on the club in scoring with 10 goals and seven assists for 27 points.....played in all 22 matches with 21 starts.....named to the NCCAA National All-Tournament Team.....voted to the All-NCCAA Midwest Region Team and All-American Mideast Conference First Team.....scored twice in a 4-0 win over Campbellsville in the opening round of the NCCAA National Tournament.....followed up with a goal and an assist in a 4-0 conquest of top seed Covenant.....tallied two goals and an assist in a 5-0 result against Daemen.....had a goal and an assist in a 2-1 victory at Urbana.

2009 - Started all 19 matches in which he played as a sophomore.....rated second on the squad in scoring with four goals and a team-high nine assists for 17 points.....ranked second in the AMC at 0.47 assists per game.....voted to the All-NCCAA Midwest Region Team and All-AMC Second Team.....tabbed the Grove City Tournament Offensive MVP.....scored the game winner in the 87th minute of a 2-1 result against Bryan in the Dave Jones Memorial Classic.....produced one goal-one assist efforts in a 2-0 decision at Marian and a 4-0 win at Point Park.....set up the score in a 1-0 victory over AMC champion Roberts Wesleyan.....tallied two assists during a 3-0 win at AMC foe Daemen.

2008 - Played in all 19 matches with 17 starts.....finished second on the team in scoring with 18 points.....netted six goals with a team-leading six assists.....scored his first collegiate goal against Bethel.....tallied a goal and two assists in a 5-0 win over Malone.....delivered two assists in a 3-3 draw versus Spring Arbor.....NCCAA Midwest Region and AMC honorable mention.

High School - Produced a decorated prep career at East Elgin Secondary School in Ontario.....four-time all-conference player and twice named to the all-district team.....five-year high school player.....helped the Eagles to four consecutive WOSSAA soccer finals and to a bronze medal at the OFSAA AA Championship.....racked up 34 goals and 60 assists during senior season.....netted six goals in seven games during the provincial championships.....possesses extensive club soccer experience.....five-year basketball player and was a three-time all-conference selection.....averaged 18 points and six assists during his final season.....named school’s Senior Athlete of the Year.....also participated in cross country, swimming, and volleyball.

John and Jo-Anne Twinem.....younger sister, Laura, is a freshman midfielder at NCAA Division II Texas A&M International.....has another younger sister and a younger brother.
