Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Jason Bender is in his fourth season with the Yellow Jackets.....started all 20 matches as a junior with a goal and two assists.....headed in the game winner in the 87th minute of a 3-2 decision at AMC foe Malone.....set up Matt Niemiec’s 3-2 game winner in the 77th minute at Wittenberg.....other assist came in a 3-0 AMC result at Daemen.

2008 - Appeared in 18 contests during his sophomore campaign with three starting assignments.....netted his first collegiate goal in a 5-0 win over Point Park.....added an assist in a 6-0 decision against Shawnee State.

2007 - Played in 16 matches as a freshman with two starts.....recorded one assist in a 3-1 victory at Urbana.

High School - Homeschool graduate who played two years of soccer at New Covenant Christian and one year at Cedar Crest High School.....named the Offensive Player of the Year as a junior at New Covenant in 2005.....netted 24 goals with 17 assists during his prep career.....member of 2002 indoor state cup championship club.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a mechanical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 12/8/88 in Harrisburg, PA.....son of David and Rosanne Bender.....twin brother, Kevin, is a four-year goalkeeper for the Yellow Jackets.....has an older brother, Craig.
