Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Joel Twinem is in his fourth season with the Yellow Jackets.....played in all 21 matches with 19 starts during his junior campaign.....tied for fifth on the club in scoring with three goals and an assist for seven points.....netted the first goal in a 2-1 win over visiting Mercyhurst.....scored goals in victories against Trevecca and Ohio Valley.....assisted on the equalizer of a 1-1 draw vs. Alderson Broaddus in the G-MAC championship game and later converted a PK in the 4-2 shootout win.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2014 - Played in 19 matches with 17 starts as a sophomore.....tied for fourth place on the team in scoring with five goals and two assists for 12 points.....voted to the G-MAC Second Team.....credited with the game winner in a 3-0 league victory at Kentucky Wesleyan.....scored once in a 5-1 result vs. Alderson Broaddus in the G-MAC semifinals.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2013 - Appeared in all 20 contests including five starts at midfield.....team’s fourth-leading scorer with five goals and an assist for 11 points.....tallied first collegiate goal in CU’s 4-0 conference win at Trevecca Nazarene.....scored second goal of career just two days later in a 6-1 G-MAC victory at Kentucky Wesleyan.....posted a goal in an 8-0 shutout at Ohio Valley....fired in two goals, including the game winner, in CU’s 6-2 G-MAC semifinal win over Trevecca Nazarene.....handed out lone assist of the year on a goal by Timmy Waller in a 3-0 league win against visiting Alderson Broaddus.

High School - Played five seasons of soccer at East Elgin Secondary School.....has club experience with Pedra Branca in Porto Allegre, Brazil and with the Ontario Provincial Team.....also participated in basketball and volleyball in high school.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a geology major at Cedarville University.....born 5/31/94 in London, ONT.....son of John and Jo-Anne Twinem.....older brother, James, played four years for the Yellow Jackets from 2008-11 and is tied for second all-time at CU with 27 assists.....older sister, Laura, played soccer at Texas A&M International.....has another older sister, Sarah.
