Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

John Schwien is in his third and final season with the Yellow Jackets.....named to the NCCAA All-America Second Team as a junior.....started all 22 matches in which he played.....scored two goals with a team-high five assists.....earned spots on the All-Ohio Division II First Team, NCCAA Midwest Region First Team, and G-MAC First Team.....found the net in a 4-1 win vs. Malone and had the lone tally in a 2-1 overtime setback to Alderson Broaddus in the G-MAC Championship game.....had the assist in the 100th minute of 4-3 overtime victory against Mercyhurst.....assisted on both goals of a 2-1 regular season result over Alderson Broaddus.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2015 - Made an immediate impact as a transfer from Division III Gordon College in Massachusetts.....started all 21 matches with one goal and six assists for eight points.....only goal was a 74th-minute strike to forge a 1-1 draw vs. Alderson Broaddus in the G-MAC championship game.....converted one of the team’s four PK’s in the 4-2 shootout result.....voted to the G-MAC Second Team.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2014 - Started all 21 games as a freshman to help lead Gordon to a 14-5-2 record.....made his collegiate debut with a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win vs. Salem State.....finished the season with a goal and a team-high six assists.

High School - Four-year varsity letter winner at Garnet Valley High School.....two-time all-conference and all-county performer.....led team in goals and assists as a senior.....selected to the Central League All-Star Team his final year.

Club - Played for Penn Fusion 95.....member of two-time state champions.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a business management major at Cedarville University.....born 10/26/95 in Garnet Valley, PA.....son of Doug and Dina Schwien.....has three older brothers, one younger sister, and a younger brother.
