Steve Cardwell is a second-year player for the Yellow Jackets.....expects to see significant time at first base and on the mound.....batted .250 as a freshman with 10 starts in 22 contests.....went 2-for-3 at the plate in a 16-1 win over Oakland City in Florida.....posted a 3-4 pitching record with one save and a 4.70 ERA.....made 14 appearances with seven starts and two complete games.....went 6.1 innings and bagged a 5-2 victory at Malone.....checked host Urbana on three hits during a 4-0 decision.
