Alan Edlund

Alan Edlund has been the head men’s tennis coach at Cedarville University since 1995 leading his alma mater to 13 winning seasons in all.

Additionally, he assumed the Lady Jackets’ head coaching position beginning with the 2018-19 academic year.

Cedarville Men’s Playing Career:
  • Four-year Yellow Jacket from 1972-75
  • Cedarville posted an overall record of 80-2, won four NAIA District 22 and MOC championships, and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament each year
  • Four-time All-NAIA District 22 and All-Mid-Ohio Conference performer playing in the #3 singles position

Edlund was employed at Quality Inn (formerly Holiday Inn) in Springfield for 42 years from 1976 to 2018 where he held numerous positions including that of accountant, controller, personnel director, and general manager.

Edlund graduated from Cedarville College in 1977 with a social science comprehensive degree. Alan and his wife, Kathy, reside in Cedarville. They have five children and 21 grandchildren.
