Alec Weinhold returns for his fourth year of distance running at Cedarville University.....top seven cross country runner for team that advanced to the NCAA Division II Championship and placed 24th in the country.....squad’s #2 finisher with 34:40.3 for 10K in sloppy conditions.....placed 50th in NCAA Midwest Regional in 33:18.....All-G-MAC Second Team performer after placing 12th in 27:13.3 for 5K.....posted career-best 25:03.2 to finish 27th of 324 competitors in All-Ohio Championship.

2017-18 - Saw action in the distance events on the track.....5K PR of 15:32.88 at Grand Valley State.....placed fifth in the NCCAA Indoor 5K in 15:57.31.....posted outdoor career-bests in the 800 (2:00.05) at the Miami Duals and 5K (15:22.45) at the Emory Invitational.....fastest 1,500 was 4:02.92 at North Central.....limited to three cross country meets as a junior.....team’s #3 finisher and 24th overall at the G-MAC Championship in 26:33 for the 8K.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2016-17 - Turned in a career-best 1,500 effort of 4:02.43 at Otterbein during the outdoor season.....posted a 5K PR of 15:45.77 at Hanover.....appeared in just two indoor meets.....ran in seven cross country meets as a sophomore.....G-MAC Second Team with a 10th place finish in 27:22 helping team to its fifth straight title.....CU’s #1 runner in the All-Ohio Championship with a season-best 8K of 26:18.....team’s #5 runner in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional with a 10K mark of 32:52.....NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.....G-MAC Academic Team.

2015-16 - G-MAC Outdoor Third Team.....finished 3rd in the 5,000 meters in 15:40.58 which was the only time he ran in the event outdoors.....posted PR’s in the 800 of 2:00.75 and 4:03.67 in the 1,500 both at Toledo.....G-MAC Outdoor Freshmen Team.....saw action in four different events during the indoor season.....fastest times were 2:01.76 in the 800, 4:34.78 in the mile, 9:03.46 in the 3K, and 16:15.72 in the 5K.....put together a solid rookie season in cross country.....participated in five meets and was among the team’s top seven finishers four times.....best 8K time was 26:28 to finish 27th overall at the NCCAA Championship to help lead Cedarville to the national title.....timed in 26:40 at the Lewis Cross-Over.....made his collegiate debut as the team’s #3 runner with a time of 16:35 at the Dayton 5K Challenge.

High School - Four-year letter winner in cross country at Grafton High School.....two-time state qualifier.....best 5K mark was 16:08.....placed 3rd in the conference meet.....competed three seasons of track & field with three letters.....all-state in the 1,600 as a senior placing 6th in a career-best 4:23.95.....qualified for the state meet his final three seasons.....competed in the 2014 Penn Relays (4 x 800).....posted other PR’s of 1:59.24 (800) and 9:49 (3,200).....valedictorian of graduating class.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s List student as a computer engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 1/27/97 in Random Lake, WI.....son of Eric and Fay Weinhold.....father was a distance runner at Mississippi State from 1984-88.....has three younger sisters and two younger brothers.
