Cedarville University Yellow Jackets

Alex Moore is a four-year distance runner with the Yellow Jackets.....closed out his cross country career by running in five varsity meets.....posted a career-best 8K time of 26:46 at Aquinas.....placed 30th of 105 competitors at the American Mideast Conference Championship in 26:52.

2009-10 - Scored points in two events at the AMC Championship.....placed 6th in the 10K in 34:10.41 and was 8th in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 10:51.77.....appeared in three indoor meets as a junior.....finished 7th in the 3K at Marietta in 9:28.91.....competed in five varsity cross country meets during the fall.....turned in a season-best time of 27:06 in the Friendship Invitational to place 40th of 178 runners.

2008-09 - Placed 6th in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the NCCAA Outdoor Championship in a career-best time of 10:04.10.....finished 6th in the AMC in 10:06.86.....ran the 3,000 meters during the indoor season placing 6th in the NCCAA in 8:58.58.....ran in five varsity cross country meets as a sophomore.....timed in a season-best 27:24 at the Friendship Invitational which placed 28th of 197 competitors.

2007-08 - Placed 8th in the NCCAA outdoor 10,000 meters in 34:48.81 and was 5th in the AMC in 35:00.45.....finished 15th in the NCCAA indoor 5,000 in 16:17.49.....competed in four varsity cross country meets as a rookie.....recorded a season-best time of 28:22 to finish 66th of 180 runners at the Cedarville Invitational.

High School - Four-year letter winner in cross country at Groveport-Madison High School.....four-time Team MVP.....named to the All-Ohio Capital Conference First Team as a senior and to the Second Team during junior year.....two-time regional qualifier and advanced to the 2006 state meet.....two-time MVP for the track & field team.....qualified for the state indoor meet as a senior.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Dean’s List student as an early childhood development major at Cedarville University.....born 3/27/89 in Groveport, OH.....son of Robert and Susan (Vaughan) Moore.....parents were standout distance runners at Cedarville College.....younger sister, Tabby, is a sophomore distance runner with the Lady Jackets.....has two other younger sisters.
