CAREER STATS
Austin Ballentine is in his fourth year with the Yellow Jackets competing primarily in the throwing events.....set career indoor bests at the G-MAC Championship in the shot put (40-6.25) and the weight throw (43-2.25).....during the outdoor campaign registered PR’s in the discus (120-6) at the Yellow Jacket Open and in the hammer (131-3) in the G-MAC Championship....top season effort in the shot put was 39-6 at Otterbein and best heave in the javelin was 129-1 at the Yellow Jacket Open.
2016 - G-MAC Indoor Third Team as a sophomore after placing in three events.....finished 3rd in the shot put with a season-best 39-8.75.....placed 4th in both the weight throw (39-5.75) and triple jump (34-11).....posted indoor season-high in the weight throw (39-11.25) at the Cedarville Indoor and a career-high triple jump (36-5.50) at Grand Valley State.....G-MAC Outdoor Second Team selection scoring in five field events - shot put, triple jump, discus, hammer, and javelin.....G-MAC shot put runner-up with a career-best heave of 42-5.50.....hammer runner-up at 126-3.....established another outdoor career best in the javelin (136-11) at the Centre Invitational.....posted season-highs in the triple jump (38-4.25) and hammer (126-8) at the Yellow Jacket Open as well as the discus (117-8) at the Wilmington Invitational.
2015 - Earned G-MAC Outdoor Second Team recognition.....conference runner-up in the hammer with a career-best heave of 112-1 and was also runner-up in the discus at 115-01.....best mark in the discus was 115-7 in the Cedarville Collegiate.....G-MAC Outdoor Freshmen Team.....registered best outdoor efforts in the shot put (40-10.50) and javelin (125-1).....competed indoors in both the shot put (37-11.25) and weight throw (37-5).
High School - Four-year member of the track & field team at New Philadelphia High School.....earned three letters while competing for the Quakers.....participated in football four seasons with two letters.....National Honor Society student.
Personal - Mechanical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 12/7/95 in Medina, OH.....son of Mike and Anita Ballentine.....has one older brother and a younger brother.
