Jen (Heidenreich) Gerber, a former track & field All-American for the Lady Jackets, joined the coaching staff in 2012. She works with the men’s and women’s pole vaulters.

Gerber, who competed at Cedarville from 1999 through 2002, was a 2001 NAIA All-American in the 400 meter hurdles. She was the 2000 NCCAA champion in the triple jump and won 2001 titles in the 400 hurdles, pole vault, and 4 x 400 relay.

Gerber was the 2001 American Mideast Conference Outstanding Performer of the Meet. She copped first place in the 400 hurdles, triple jump, pole vault, and 4 x 100 relay.

Gerber still shares the school record in the 400 hurdles at 61.83 seconds. She owns three of the top six all-time performances in the event for the Lady Jackets.

A native of St. Petersburg, Fla., Gerber previously served as an assistant high school coach at her alma mater, Indian Rocks Christian.

Gerber is a 2002 graduate of Cedarville University with a degree in nursing. She presently serves as an ER nurse at Miami Valley Hospital South in Dayton.

Jen and her husband, Justin, who was a distance runner for the CU men from 1998 through 2002, reside in Beavercreek.
