Kris Williams

Former Yellow Jacket distance runner Kris Williams is in his first season as a member of the Yellow Jacket track & field coaching staff. He has been involved with the Lady Jacket cross country program since 2008.

Williams returned to his alma mater with 13 years of coaching experience at the middle school and high school levels. He guided his teams to five region championships, seven district crowns, and seven conference titles. He was a three-time county Coach of the Year.

Williams coached track and cross country at Indian Rocks Christian School in Largo, Fla. from 1994 through 2007. He was the assistant junior high school track coach at Cedarville in 1993 and was previously the cross country coach at Alexander High School in Albany, Ohio in 1992.

Williams, who was a four-year runner for the Yellow Jackets, graduated from Cedarville College in 1992 and also earned a master’s degree from the United States Sports Academy in 2006. Kris and his wife, Marcia (Knaus), who is a former Lady Jacket distance runner, reside in Cedarville with their three children: Kristianna, 14; Wesley, 11; and Isabel, 6.
